Hi Sharon! Someone else loves this deck! I have both beautiful decks by Jean Beauchard. The Masonic Tarot is my all time favorite tarot. I only wish I could read French to enjoy the guidebooks. The art is so gorgeous on these decks and there is so much symbolism. As the name implies, this deck is alchemy themed and the symbols reflect that. I'm sure the guidebook is fantastic! There is alot of information on the vessel shapes and differences. The vessel represents the soul and the different shapes are the transformation through alchemy of the soul. There is the Crucible, The Retort and the Still. Those are the archetypes of each process. You can reads lots about it online.
My masonic symbolique guidebook is in English. ?? I'm just going to use an app translator for the alchemimistes deck. So excited to start studying this deck!!! The masonic deck was so.ething I absolutely had to have immediately upon seeing elle at sacred seed show it. I wanted it by the third card in.
The symbols on the back are salt (the circle), sulfur (the triangle on the cross), and mercury (looks like a horned figure LOL). They are the big three in alchemical terms.
Similarly with Robert Places Alchemical Tarot ~ I have recently started reading his big book.. The Tarot, Magic, Alchemy, Hermeticism and Neoplatonism Third Ed. (super long title).. hoping to get more understating of the symbols and numerology. Yes what exactly are those glass objects 🤓 Thanks for showing us this one!
This deck is very interesting ! You'd think they would offer guidebooks for sale in English , they would sell more decks ! You always show decks that are not on most peoples radar Thanks for sharing
