I went to Hiran Minar yesterday after 43 years. I completely agree with your views. Mughuls spent millions of Rupees on their own luxury while the public was dying with hunger. We needed universities like Oxford too, but mughuls had no interest in educating the masses. Nevertheless, Hiran Minar is a masterpiece of architecture and worth visiting. The graffiti on the walls here is very sad and shameful. There should be a big fine for anyone destroying historic landmarks. The government also needs to improve the area and come up with more ideas to attract visitors. I also think that the minaret and the central baradari should be opened to public and there should be some safety measures for those who want to fall off from the top to do suicide.
