This SH Figuarts Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Gohan Beast Action Figure is cool, but it’s far from the best dragon ball release. I don’t know what it is, but I’m just not really a fan of this figure. It has some serious limitations that I haven’t been able to get around despite what we saw in the promo images. It doesn’t look bad at all, but it does have some things I feel could have been done much better. I have to say that I truly do believe that this release is inferior to the previous one. That’s not saying that it’s bad, but like all Collector’s I expect my figures to get better. I would say that he is worth the pick up, but again get your hands on him as early as possible. Beast Gohan crossed his arms talking with Piccolo after he beat Cell Max when Pan ran up to him, he was only onscreen for like 2 minutes so Tamashii had to give him whatever they could.
9:53 Gohan holds the special beam cannon pose for a while before and after firing it so it makes sense to have the hand without the beam. Also there's never been a blue special beam cannon outside of Gohan doing it in the movie, so the effect piece would never make sense with anyone other than Gohan.
Came here right after finishing the review just to say this exact thing. Hit the nail on the head. I was saying to myself the other hand without the beam is for Gohan to be in a "charging" state.
yeah and idk how painting it orange would look for a piccolo, but still gohan's sbc looked crazy with colours in the movie with the red lightning and it's a shame it doesn't have it
Glad I could help with the review man! This figure is very nice overall but the more I think about it the more I agree that the new chest system isn’t very necessary.
There wouldn't be any reason to use the Special Beam Canon effect with any Piccolo because this is a color unique to Gohan. Piccolo's SBC is usually yellow with a pinkish red outline or cover. While I do agree that it would've been better if the hand and effect were separate because the hand painting on it has suffered and it would save accessories and money off the figure with just one hand and one effect with it. But, yeah, it wouldn't make sense to have this effect with any Piccolo sadly lore wise.

Should’ve took the extra hand off the SBC effect and I would’ve loved it.
The special beam cannon hand without the blast is for him to put his fingers on his head for the charge before using

I hate how we had something great going in the 3.0 arm articulation but then they went the more expensive route of adding a new material over the torso that is more limiting than what we had for absolutely no reason
I think bandai made that effect like that so that people will have to buy another special beam cannon for piccolo 😂

No it’s not lmao it’s literally super Saiyan 2 but at its strongest form 😂 ultra instinct, ego and even SSJ4 are way better transformations than beast.

I agree they should stick to the original sculp for articulation soft plastic tourso sucks be good for capes and dresses and drapes but hate it over the torso like the original disign

I feel ya. I'm tired of what Bandai is doing with Dragon Ball and I'm not really into Super. I pre-ordered that Yamcha because I've been waiting on him for years. He is too much, but after him, I'm out. I would like to get Mecha Freiza but that price was crazy and I'm sure King Cold will be over priced too.

I think this figure is cool looking. This guy looks good, but he could've been much better in many of his departments. Great review, very well explained on the pros and cons.
