01:39 INTRODUCTION
Emily talks about the abundance of babies at her church.
Jon Meyers details the painful haircut he received.
NOTE: He forgot to make this point, which was the whole point in telling the
story: The resulting haircut looks the same as always - but unlike the 35
previous haircuts, the process was much more difficult.
Takeaway applicable to your writing: Even when the going gets rough, even
when the process hurts, the result can still be acceptable - even admirable. So
when you’re having a difficult writing session, don’t give up - the results can still
be pleasing.
13:00 VIEWER RESPONSE
Emily Tucker Rhinelander declares she is a writer.
16:55 THE REBROADCAST OF FIRST LIVE WEBINAR.

21:00 What really is Story anyway?
--A Beginning, A Middle, and An End is NOT a Story.

--A Journey from Here to There is NOT a Story.
A Story is a protagonist struggling through obstacles to attain a goal.
27:00 How can you make your Story more compelling?
--Start Your Story Early
--Make Your Protagonist the Least Likely to Succeed
--Increase the Stakes, plus Burn Their Bridges so They Can’t Turn Back
40:41 Why Do We Tell Stories?
--Stories Connect Us
--Stories Are Good for Your Mental Health
--Stories Demonstrate that Failure Makes Victories Sweeter
56:50 Should You Use Story Formulas?
