- My apologies for the less than stellar sound quality.
During the annual April To-Shin Do Black Belt Retreat I was asked to lead a short training session on defending “pick ups/takedowns” and then applying TSD techniques to “seal the deal”.

Great explanation. Great attention to situational circumstance. I was able to practice some of this in the dojo! Thank you. 🥋👍🏾
Love the drop down defense against the bearhug from behind! Brilliant stuff.
ninpo4life thank you for watching!
@@TheNinjaEveryDay hey question why not apply pressure with your back and fight the hands and drop like a bit but not sit so when there hand break you can turn and not be on the ground cause if they manage to stay on there feet that could be potentially dangerous
like in the second example but not as far down so its easier to turn
Love it. I hate mcdojos, but you guys are clearly the real deal, and very passionate about your craft!
Thank you for watching!
Good stuff!! I like the hit them with the planet idea!!
Corsair Trainers yeah, love that!
bruh if you look at that wall with the sticks with names on them im actuall on there lol
I love karate but I suck at it
Yeah, but what if I'm tied in a chair with five guys pointing guns at me? ;P
Then they’re most certainly not gonna go for a takedown...
Hahahahahahahaha. It’s called “sprawling”. No way you LEARN it to use it on a non compliant partner
You should go try it then.
Rickster Drummer I have. He lost. Shut up
Andrew Martin I’m sure you have. haha
Rickster Drummer I did.
@@andrewmartin2823 Yea, I'm sure you did.
This guy is completely avoiding the single leg and double leg takedown. a good wrestler will change his level and shoot straight through for the takedown. only a guy who doesn't know much will stand upright and hug you from the front. it is a huge sign the guy doesn't know what he is doing. He didn't defend against a high level wrestler or Bjj practitioner. He needs to be careful with what he says in regards to defense against wrestling or Bjj takedowns. There were ninjutsu guys in the early UFC that got destroyed.
Thank you for your points! I was asked specifically about dealing with pick ups rather than doubles and singles. Really appreciate you watching!
Where can I find ninjutsu vs MMA?
Steve Jenner was a ninja who won UFC 4
Or maybe it was ufc 3. Royce Gracie was injured and had to bow out after his battle with Kimo
@@TheNinjaEveryDay thsnk you for your response. As I reread my comment I hope it didn't come across disrespectful.
