Hello Ms Nezzle, I experienced my first hash on 25 October 1983 with the 82nd Airborne division but the conditions were very different. While there I had the pleasure to meet many people of Grenada. (Extremely kind, polite, and friendly) I returned in 1997 while on vacation and fell in love with the island. I wish I could go there every year. Oil down is now one of my favorite things to cook but it's just not the same as having it from there. I hope you and your family are doing well and thanks for sharing your videos and experiences. 😊

Wow wow so much memories i usto walking that route when i was a kid looks a lot different paradise estate to grand bars estate bk to telscope i even went to the church off god off prophecy i did it meany times alone all hrs cause i was a loner memories you took me bk thanks

Yes the scenery here is beautiful! I’m not sure what the abandoned building was but it’s possible that it may have been an old plantation house.
I like this trail I think because of the miss steps. Going the wrong way on a not too hilly trail was good. Lovely vlog.
Yes this was a day when the false trails were not bad. If it were a wet or rainy day, it would be different. It was a lot of fun!

As I heard you saying you're not allowed to pick anything along the trail. I remember visiting a section of the Cockpit County one of our protected areas here in Jamaica as a student and we were told to take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints and kill nothing but time, ha! ha!

We were wondering about that building as well. I’m not actually sure but yes, even in it’s abandoned state it is beautiful.
Why are the houses on stilts/blocks there? Why are they elevated ?
That’s a good question. There are quite a few reasons. Some of those include:
1. The hilly terrain - it helps to get a level floor for the home. It’s easier than getting a tractor to excavate the area.
2. It’s a cultural desire among many people to add on a downstairs later.
3. It is used for storage purposes or as a garage or to hang clothing, etc in the interim.
It is important to note that it isn’t connected to preventing insects such as mosquitoes or for getting more air into the home.

Yes that’s why. That way they don’t have to go back and pick up the pieces afterwards.

That’s hard to say. It depends on what your lifestyle is like. But if food and accommodation is provided you’re already in pretty well taken care of.
