I mentioned this cheat in a retro gamer article a couple of months ago. I couldn't remember the details, just saying it was a dance around a lamppost, great to see it has been documented on you tube.
Yep! I love when retro games have new content found for them years after their prime. This happened with SimCity on the SNES as well and its debug menu. :)
Just wanted to confirm that this works in emulation as well. I tried it on a game where I was 2/3 finished already and even accidentally exited out of the menus a couple times. Sub 1 = Jake's apartment Sub 2 = street doc Ed's Sub 3 = hotel room Sub 4 = the ship I don't know where the other 2 doors lead because I haven't finished the game proper yet. Still, even somebody that doesn't want to "cheat" can make use of this for quick traveling.
Yup, me and another guy on gamefaqs found it not long ago. I've my own video of it on my channel. :) I love shadowrun SNES alot and was so happy to be involved in finding a secret in the 20th anniversary year of the game!
I actually have never played the sega version. :( I know they play totally different but it is good to hear that they are both fun. Didn't they release another version recently via kickstarter??
YES !!! i am playing it now its on steam its worth the money its so fun its called Shadowrun Returns uses the same epic SNES style of game play but better way better
I bought the magazine Retro Gamer where they had an interview with the developers and they mentioned a secret room. They couldn't remember exactly how to get into it. Just a couple of clues to go on. I found out how to get the 4 beeps outside but it was another GameFAQ guy, JLukas, who discovered the final step of going back into the morgue and examining again! Also, just today, krazyninjaman3, another GameFAQ member, discovered that in the chop shop version of this game that there is another item in the debug room. The missing Mobile TV Phone item!

Yep. And to help with grinding for money which can be a pain.
Very cool! I'll have to pop this game in and give it a try. :) Thanks for showing it off.

Awesome! Thank you! I loved this game :D
That's a pretty bad ass cheat!! And they JUST found out about it??? WOW! It makes me wonder how many other hidden 'retro' cheats there are!!
awesome didnt know this
You, me and rest the world until like a year ago. :)
Could this be implemented in a 100% route for speedrunning (only using the warps)?
That's a good question! I guess it just gets based on whatever other rules the speed runner sets for themselves.
+SWFL Gamers thanks! considering its like Mario's 1-1 warp zone, I'll run with it in mine. Who can I give credit to?! i'm very excited
GanonTEK that is so awesome!!!! How did you guys come to discover this cheat??? -M
