Love that you openly admit when something isn’t quite the way you want it and then just keep on working until you’re satisfied. Love your creativity and your clear and concise instructions!! You are a STAR!
I really appreciate that you showed your whole process, even when you don't like it as much, it really shows people that it really does take trial and error. Love the pieces😊❤
I absolutely love that he shows the “faults” in the projects. I always seem to give up when I stumble into a colour or texture or anything that I make really.
for some reason, I love the idea of someone going to your house and asking where did you buy this beautiful piece of ceramics and you going "Oh, that? It's was a pool noodle."
This is honestly one of the best dollar tree videos I've ever seen (and I've watched waaaay too many!). You really elevated the look of these diys and they look beautiful and high end! Absolutely amazing work Drew!! My 11-year-old daughter adores your work and asked me to help her with some of your projects so she could do them for her room! I'm a bit more farmhouse but she is definitely a boho girl!
I love that you include the entire creative process, fails and all, like the first project. It’s a good example of how things don’t always go to plan, but you can improvise and make something even better!
I love how you don’t give up on your projects! You tried three different colors on that pool noodle and you finally found the one you loved. You’ve inspired me to go take a look at some of my own diy’s that just didn’t turn out how I wanted.
For your beaded wall hanging, the "grass" is supposed to be a sheath of wheat I believe. Also, the resin on the trinket dish made that project. Really loved the effect it had. The candle was really cute. I think perhaps before painting the two glued together bowls I would run a bead of caulk at their joint seam so that when painted it seems seamless.
OMG, watching Drew painting the pool noodle three times while I'm literally in the same moment repainting a plant pot for the third time because I couldn't get the color just right is so *chefs kiss*
Couple of tips. When brushing on resin, use a silicone brush instead. It’ll be easier to clean the brush. When pouring in the melted candle was, wait just a bit for the liquid to turn just a tiny bit cloudy, as it starts to harden, but it’s still liquid, and then pour it.
Do you or MaCenna ever go to Daiso? The Japanese dollar store? They have great stuff and I’d love seeing you guys do some DIYs from there!! Love watching your videos btw!
What does burdock salad taste like? It sounds interesting! When I was a kid my mom use to give me burdock blood bitters in liquid form, didn't really like the taste back then! I'm sure the salad with other veggies and a home made dressing would taste better.😀
Ummm okay so that candle diy is so game changing. I’m literally going to do this w all my cheap candles that smell good but are in neutral/ugly containers. No need to buy anything new either- I’ll use cute thrifted/recycled containers, or like say glasses/bowl that doesn’t match the rest of my dining set. Ty so much for this!!!!
Great projects as always! Just a little tip.. I saw in the last one that you could see the glue between the 2 bowls. It would look really cute with some rope tied around it to hide the glue texture.

not an expert, but rust oleum lists typical max temps for their spray paints at 200F and the pour temp of paraffin is 180F, so kinda close but likely safe. with any homemade candle, supervision and keeping it away from flammable materials is key. rust oleum makes high temp spray paints (in limited colors) that could be used if you’re worried.

For painting Dollar Tree beads, I string them up and then dip them into a chalk paint and water mixture and then hang them over a box I got from amazon. I just cut off the flaps & then cut little notches in the top of the box to catch the string so the beads are free to dry on each side. Most of the time I use my heat tool to help them dry faster and I rarely have drip marks to fix. The other way I paint them is in another box I used dollar tree contact paper to line the inside and then spray paint the beads and roll and toss them around to make sure I get all the sides. The contact paper keeps them from rolling under the flaps on the bottom of the box. For each I apply several thin coats until I reach my desired look I’m going for.

RUclips Police! Sophie, just like you did once upon a time, people can & will read instructions. Don't assume less of your peers.
@sophie if it makes you feel better I wondered the same thing. You’ve done nothing wrong; you’re just a concerned viewer.
We all adore Drew’s videos. I personally am a frequent viewer and look forward to his content. Some people just like to argue. And stretch what has been said. Hope this keeps you smiling.
The coasters turned out so cute and the candle was my favorite!!!
You should do a dollar tree challenge with MaCenna! (Kind of like the thrift flip video)
Probably the best DIY channel there is!! Loving these ideas and how they actually don’t look like they’ve been DIY’d 😍
Wow so I can say is these are some very cute and affordable ideas. Loved it. Had to become part of your family. Thanks for the inspiration.
All of the projects were great! LOVE THEM!!! Please do more when you have the time!!!

watched the entire video because i loved the terra cotta colored vase/candle. so glad i watched the whole video! cant wait to try some ideas!
just so everyone knows. mod pod fr doesn’t work for coasters. it will eventually peel up. i did a project like that and did 3 layers of mod podge and after three weeks, it peeled off. no hate to drew!!
That candle at the end was amazing! I think it would look incredible with some rope detail around the middle to hide the seam where you glued the two bowls together. Definitely making that!!
OKAY. Just got to "creepy cloth" and I am dying
The pool noodle and the terra cotta paint is such a game changer!!!! Love your vids!!
HOW TO HAVE A FULL COVERAGE PAINT ON THE BEADS?
----> Take some paint in a bowl and dip the beads in the bowl, FULL COVERAGE and less paint wasted :)
Honestly the pillar vase looks like wood! Love love love
Yesterday I watched James Charles's home tour pt.2 and I laughed when I saw Drew there...
