I have a friend in the chicago area that makes electronic noise machines, and has one just like the waterphone, but it has oscilattors and some other knobs that do wtf i dont know. His name is Tim Kaiser, look him up, total madman when it comes to music and technology.
Except for the apprehension engine? all are pretty much straight forward.. i heard them, used them ( at least sampled version) but then again i've been doing music more than 50 years...

i always hated the kalimba phone ringtone because it’s so annoying but the actual instrument sounds really nice
