    I fostered Billy for three months, from the first day of his rescue in November 2014, until he flew for his forever home in Switzerland. Today (March 2020) he still lives happily with his family. I receive many updates frequently, but I rarely share any of it anymore.
    Billy was rescued by zeil, my local charity in Athens, Greece, where I volunteered at for a couple of years.

    Just a sad note: My precious dog Buffy died a week ago; I found her dead in my doorway. I don't know what she died from but I believe it was old age. Gosh, I still can't stop crying.
    We buried her in our backyard so I can visit her daily. I do believe that there is a heaven for animals. I still cry over her death, but I know I gave her a good life with me and I could not have loved her any more than I did.

I laid down to take a nap and I had a dream she was walking in the kitchen and she barked for me to open the door to the backyard. In real life I woke up and so did my other dog that is 40 lbs. She heard my dog Panda, they werre best friends. What I am telling you is my live dog heard her bark at the door too and we both got up to look. I am telling you this because her spirit visited us and I am telling you to comfort you! God Bless our animals ,take comfort inknowing that Buffy visits you!

The way dogs are treated by us here in the West, is just not the same in other countries. I don't think the people are despicable, its just the way things are over there, but anyone who actively hurts animals is a scum bag & deserves to die.

    More or less in the same condition was my Frieda when I found her, on the roadside, trying to eat an old banana peel she'd found. Hairless form the mange, with open sores too, and as thin as Billy. My fingers sank between her ribs when I picked her up. She was not only famished but also dehydrated. More or less the same story, I had to keep her isolated at first, so that my cat wouldn't catch the mange. We gave her baths with a special shampoo every day, because she was only about 3 months old, so too young and too weak to give her a shot of ivermetcin. I too was amazed at her recovery, I couldn't believe it. She was the sweetest, cutest pet you could have. Watching this video made me relive my story with Frieda and brought tears to my eyes. Bless you for your noble action.

      The Orphan Pet In Argentina. Outside a small town in the province of Santa Fe, where I lived back then, roaming the roadside ditches. I'd seen her twice before, but I hadn't been able to get near her. She was frightened and ran away. By the time I picked her up she was too weak to escape. Perhaps I'm being sentimental, but I think that besides their natural affection, these little ones know you've saved their lives and are especially grateful.

    • @digital1ministry911
      @digital1ministry911 7 лет назад +3

      +T38 Talon I sort of get the reaction of the person who wrote the garbage about there being no God. It's pretty stupid to think that you know for a fact that there is no God, but I can't stand when people start making arrogant assertions about God... Like they know everything... Theistic people are often incredibly arrogant, and don't even realize that they are. They will often even speak for God, as if they were God themselves! "Only God can pay back your kindness" How does this woman know that God hasn't already repaid them? How does she know that the blessing that was this beautiful animal wasn't God's gift to these people in the first place, ...right then and there.... ....and maybe there just might be no actual reward greater than the God given life energy that lived within that dog to carry on day by day until he got better? Notice how I make no assertions? I just ask questions... THAT'S BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE THE FREAKIN' AUDACITY TO TAKE THE POSITION OF GOD, AND RUN AROUND DICTATING WHAT ONLY GOD DOES OR HOW HE CHOOSES TO DO IT!! How does this arrogant person know which God WOULD repay them anyway? That's right! There may after all be many, many Gods throughout the infinite universe!! I'm so sick and tired of people pontificating and dictating and using "God" as an excuse to try to manipulated and impose their will upon other people!! So I can understand that person's anger!!

    This brought tears to my eyes. I know the pain of rehoming a foster animal. They get attached to you, then you must give them to new owners and then you worry that the animal is terrified, missing you. And when you find out that in the end the terror and longing was finally muted by new love and loyalty, only then can you relax about it all. Lovely story indeed. :')

      Pink Panther I totally agree with you. They are called things and even that is too much of a good word to call them. May God continue to touch people's hearts to rescue...love and care fore his sweet precious creations. Thank you to everyone with a good heart who help these innocent little ones.

    Oh this made me cry! These people, all of them, are angels for taking care of God's most loyal and truest and gentlest of creatures. Thank God that Billie was rescued and got to turn into the happy, beautiful dog he became with this wonderful lady and his parents. Thank you so much especially to people who foster animals. I don't think I could do that, I'd get too attached and not want to give them up to others.

    I have seen this video before and cried first time, when I saw how bad. Billy was. Second time even knowing he got better, the tears came again to see a dog,, with such a lovely nature, in such pain and suffering, is almost to hard to watch. But to see him so well and enjoying life with his new mum and dad, is a beautiful thing. He has his wonderful foster mum to thank for that. She made him want to live, and found him amazing home. This is one of those videos that gets right into your heart, not many people watching this , will do so without crying. HAVE A LONG AND HAPPY LIFE BILLY. Sending HUGS. 🙋‍♀️🇬🇧💓💓💓💓

You are a special person for humans and animals. Thank you for all you do.
