Hit the Inner Chest Cleavage With Shifting Grip Bench Press

- The inner chest is critical for maximizing the visual impact of your chest. And it's also tough to hit with standard free weight exercises.
This version of the bench press has you shifting your grip at the bottom of each rep.
You'll rest the bar on your chest (while maintaining tension in the upper body and holding your breath to stabilize the torso) then shift your grip slightly inwards.
Press up then lower and repeat until your hands are shoulder-width apart and you're doing close-grip bench press. Then repeat, shifting your hands outwards. This will set your inner chest on fire!

Dude that rack plank you posted works wonders, thanks a lot for the post.
Elliot sent me here, after i saw the first video, i also subscried, great info man, Thank you!
I find it helps with stability and strength, as well as muscle contraction. I find when I breathe throughout the movement, it destabilizes the torso and doesn't give the muscle a solid place to contract from. It's not necessary, but that's what I've gravitated to over the years I've been training.
Good to know. You're obviously successful so I had to ask. Liked and sub'd. Keep em comin'!
Thanks!
You bet, man. Thanks!
you bet, that one is one my favorites for core.
I usually aim for at least 2 to 3 sets of this.
Sick, sick man. I like it
very cool! Welcome!
you cant train the "inner" chest, the musclefibers goes in one direction, and that is from the midsection of your chest, and out towards your shoulders. one thing you can is: move the stress a little up and down your chest.
very awesome. I wish ya using anatomy and specific name of muscle, I am not very good with nickname or slang name of muscle. So I can knowledge specific of where I am looking for and match your the most awesome powerful training secrets on youtube with close captions.. thumb up thanks Nick
Wow, nice one.
Hey just wondering why you hold your breath so much during reps. Thanks!
How many sets of these is ideal/minimum?
Hey man, awesome vid, but i feel this more in my sholders then my chest. Any guess on what im doing wrong?
lars antonsen flex ur shoulder blades back so it creates an arch. This isolates ur chest.
cool man!
Thank you!! my friends always made fun of my chest because it had that pizza shape in the center of my chest.. but now i did this and it helped a ton! my gap is basically filled!
This looks really dangerous
Yo Elliot sent me.
Me too :-D
This RUclips tutorial is ridiculous, who is even going to listen to this guy, I mean he had his shirt on the entire video and didn't flex once!
JK bro, I'll give this a try and give you some feedback after my session. My shoulders are taking over the exercise at moment, hopefully this will help. Thanks for the advice :)
seeing is believing. Should at least put a muscle shirt on.
