Seeing you play the glacia, drake, and steven fights was an absolute joy to watch; so many of the turns had me worried to death about the rng. Thank you for the amazing content.
I’m tempted to say he didn’t. He’s played so much VGC, and most of gen 3’s mechanics are different than modern mechanics. Not to mention how much different nuzlockes are compared to competitive. That’s not to say it’s impossible, I just doubt it. What I think he probably did gain from this is better patience in battles.
@@MrAndrewaziz From what I've seen, the key to success in an Emerald Kaizo Nuzlocke is knowing the AI patterns, which are accurately predictable most of the time. The editing is top tier, and I'm super happy to have been able to watch your journey through EK, both on YT and the little I was able to on Twitch. It's been entertaining as hell, and I've even gotten a little emotional at the loss of some of the mons. Seeing you play the glacia, drake, and steven fights was an absolute joy to watch; so many of the turns had me worried to death about the rng. Thank you for the amazing content.
Wolfie probably learned a thing or two through this series that can be used for his vgc in some way or the other.
I hope so
I’m tempted to say he didn’t. He’s played so much VGC, and most of gen 3’s mechanics are different than modern mechanics. Not to mention how much different nuzlockes are compared to competitive. That’s not to say it’s impossible, I just doubt it. What I think he probably did gain from this is better patience in battles.
@@captainsnake8515 yea the specific strategies and metas are very very different but general life lessons are applicable for any challenge
The big thing he'll retain from this experience is to say "Don't crit me" after every move.
@@MrAndrewaziz From what I've seen, the key to success in an Emerald Kaizo Nuzlocke is knowing the AI patterns, which are accurately predictable most of the time. This really doesn't work against human opponents, they will not do the locally optimal move, either due to anticipating your moves as well or just by behaving irrationally.
What an epic ending. Loved the content. As an old-timer who grew up on Gen1+2, it's been fun to revisit this game through your nuzlocke content.
I'm not even that invested in this run but that air slash crit into flinch was truely heartbreaking
I really appreciated the intro warning and the effort made to accommodate people ❤️
>1 hour-long wideo = Prime work-from-home content 💯
Amazing episode! The editing was godlike and the run had me on the edge the whole time.
This video was an absolute banger!
Mr Editor, great job on this video, and the rest of this series!
dude the fact that you lost is so sad, but I want to thank you so much.
beyond the fact that I enjoyed the series very much I'm studying software enginering where I fell in love with stats and watching your series has led me to develop a strong stats intuition, specially the idea of with a lot trials even unlikely events become likely
The custom music themes and intros were a nice touch
Wow. This series was fantastic. I’ve never seen such high level big brain strats in a nuzlocke before, so ty this whole series really was a treat. There was nothing to be done with that rng in the end. Don’t worry you’re always an actual Pokémon master 👍
Killer intro. Literal chills
The ending message is such a true part of life. Thank you Wolfe.
drake's salmence was insane bruh
Your still the champ Wolfey! Thoroughly enjoyed this entire run, the only nuzlocke run I’ve watched in it’s entirety. Huge brain plays, dedication, and knowledge of the game is unmatched. A true Pokémon master!
The photosensitivity warnings in the video are super cool btw! Someone is going to find that helpful.
Wolfe you are the first person to make me care about watching a pokemon lets play. Thank you and your editor for making such a fun series to watch.
I really loved this series I hope you do something similar
Congrats on making it so far Wolfey! You did what most people would not dare to adventure and we, your fans, are proud 🙏
Yoooo he did it! I can't believe this series is ending, it's been so much fun to watch. Maybe not quite as much fun to watch live or play, given the amount of grinding, but when you skip all that and only see the hype parts it's incredible. I'd love to see more series like this rather than just vgc all the time
um.. did you watch the video?
@@elbillo9658 no not yet, it's pretty long so I want to have the time to watch it all at once. I'm assuming that means it's not over, or he mentioned doing more series. Or he lost.
@@jblen answer:
He lost. I believe on Attempt 15 he won though. This run was an extremely long time ago.
@@LunaroseClaire Yes, we're here from the future :)
@@LunaroseClaire I appreciate the attempt to hide it but unfortunately the notification removes all the white space so it did spoil it, but oh well I'm still excited to see how it all plays out
I've never watched a nuzlock series before, but this has been very fun to watch. Mostly because of your insane level of planning and meticulous calculations.
You don’t see that often since most games are much easier
@@GravityIsFalling I wanna see Wolfey tackle Pokemon Reborn, possibly with a Kaizo mod, when it's finished.
That was really enjoyable, I would happily join Round 2 :)
I just got around to watching this and I'm loving hearing you explain the plan in real time during the Glacia fight.
That was legitimately probably the most painful thing I've seen happen to a gamer. Petition to restart at Drake
Even tho i watch this through the end, i thought that these runs with players calculate the damage numbers makes it boring, but I'm actually in awe with your decision making skill, creativity with the mons you're given ( iirc you didn't have the optimal catch right or maybe im trippin) making this series very enjoyable to watch, good luck to you in run 10, VGC, and as content creator
Wow, this series has been so entertaining. Each week I’ve been eagerly awaiting and if the teaser at the end is right I’m so excited to watch run 10!
I came into this about halfway through and by the end was really eager for each new episode, so I am DEFINITELY looking forward to another Nuzlocke that I can watch from the beginning. Absolutely loved the level of detail that went into the strats.
Appreciate the photo sensitivity warnings
You may not have become champion in emerald kaizo but remember that u r world champion and more importantly our champion. Thank you for letting us be apart of this journey it has been a blast!
Now that I’ve seen this, I feel like it would have been great with a heart monitor
Aw man....aw fuck. This video was more gripping than any thing else Ive seen in a good while. What an absolute shame. Keep on keeping on dude; Ill certainly watch 😁
Wolfey's hair looks nice in that intro
Scope lense Serene Grace Salamence time!
But jokes aside, I loved watching these in both RUclips and on Twitch, it was amazing to watch!
And kudos to the editors, they did an amazing job!
