The reason the Shotgun performs so poorly against Brutes is because their model material, tough_organic, takes _half_ damage from weapon projectiles classified as bullet_slow. If you pair this with the range and RoF, you may as well just use a close-mid range automatic weapon.
@@eymn-13 I believe so. Brutes in Halo 3 have very weak shields but can take a ton of damage to their health. It basically railroads you into overreliance on Headshot weapons because bullet damage automatics just dont kill them quickly enough. Why deal with your assault rifle or SMG doing half damage to the Brutes when you can just ignore their healthpool entirely with a headshot?
Have you considered making a video just like this but for floodfight? A lot of these weapons still apply, but a good amount of them are drastically different against flood. Awesome video btw!
The Spiker is actually really good for melee combat since ita allows you to dish damage equivalent to Spartan Fists. Seeing as the melee is nerfed in ODST.
I appreciate the placement for the carbine though I find the placement of the spiker interesting as it is one of my go to weapons. Other than the spiker though the list was exactly what I think. Loving the halo content so keep cranking it out!
I see the carbine and automag as two sides of the same coin. With the magnum, you trade damage for fire rate, extreme accuracy, and plentiful ammo, while with the carbine, you have really good damage output, but lack range, accuracy, fire rate, and ammo.
Bro the carbine is as fast as you can fire it, legit I have a friend who, if not for the limit, could click fast enough to empty a carbine mag in TWO SECONDS.
You forgot to mention spike grenades are a practical anti vehicle grenade. One stick or two to a ghost, a warthog, or even a chopper will absolutely destroy it and the user operations.
The brute shot is OP in flood fight because the bladed melee can dismember combat forms and (with tilt on) oneshot tank forms It’s almost like a cheap energy sword that never runs out of ammo
You missed an important difference between the Beam Rifle and the Sniper. Once the Tilt skull activates, the Sniper becomes little more than a glorified Grunt killer, as Brute shields become heavily resistant to it. But the Beam Rifle instead gets stronger against shields, and can take out higher-tier Brutes more easily than before. I'd probably place the Beam Rifle in B-teir on this list. It's at least as good as the Rockets, if not better, just for the better ammo economy.

Unlike in any other halo game, the spiker is quite useful here due to its large melee damage increase

yo can actually move faster with the detached turrets if you move diagonally. Maybe even faster than without the turret

The needled is a weapon that you need T keep on your secondary cause it's the best anti-brute weapon and saves me everytime against s chieftain
