Tbh I knew we pretty much lost the game as soon as the first goal went in because the Pep Guardiola way is the Real Madrid/Barcelona way.of when you go 1-0 up attack while making sure you have 70% possession so it disheartened’s the opposition (Villa) because the opposition can’t get the ball off you. Apart from Samatta no one turned up on the big day which is disgraceful. We played well in the last 10 minutes when City we’re hanging on but unfortunately it wasn’t enough. As good as we played in the 2nd half we were shite in the first and gave City far too much respect, when Nakamba put in that challenge on Aguero I thought that's more like it !!!! Another 15 Mins and we could poss have pulled level but alas too little too late. Every player needs to show more commitment from here and if they don't they should be given hell, Mcginn will hopefully make a difference but the fans need to roar the lads on at every game now and get them fired up.

Very creditable performance from Villa! I can’t say that we were robbed , (despite the dodgy corner decision), but the fact we contested the match to the end and were so close to taking it to Pens was very satisfying. For me Jack seemed a little laboured. He didn’t have a bad game but I’m concerned that he has had to carry the team too many times this term and it might be starting to show. Other seasons he has had enforced layoffs (when he could recover) and so this season must already feel longer. Grealish is such a special player but We need John back to help share the load for the run in.🤞🤞
Worth noting.. Citys first goal was Really well done. Very smart and skilled pass by Foden. The shot itself also took on Mings leg. I wont blame us for that at all. Second goal shouldn't have been a corner, and the focus shifted from the game into the frustration of the incompetence of the lineman. I really can't blame them. Sure, "snap out of it".
