- Dagoth Ur is back with another sermon that points out the flaws with the Elder Scrolls' Wood Elves/Bosmer. As we know from Fargoth to Glarthir, bosmer have a lot of problems in Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. Let's explore those issues in detail.

Lord Dagoth, I know you are going down a series of 'playable' races in Tamriel but it would be cool after doing all of those to do some bonus races such as the dwemer, snow elves, sloads, or any other half-way developed races that exist in the collective conscience. Thank you yet again for an enlightening sermon

Let me guess; dunmer flaws will be things like accepting N wahs into their ranks, working for mongrels, being weak enough to let ulfric bully them, returning to daedra worship after Dagoth's death, and letting one level 1 orc bully a whole town full of level 50 dunmer guarrds

Don’t they live longer than Dunmer? I thought Dunmer have a lifespan of 250 years on average while bosmer average around 300. They are elves after all….if you squint. Truly a terrifying thought. Another point: They breed like rabbits. The average amount of children each couple will have is 12-14 children. Also, bosmer are so promiscuous that they are not always sure who the father is; to the point that they refer to their family name on their mother’s side instead of the father’s side. How do they prevent inbreeding? Answer: they don’t!

As I approached the end of my first-ever Skyrim playthrough, the thought of a new roleplay came to mind. As soon as I thought maybe a Wood Elf? This shows up on my feed.
Thank you Dagoth Ur for being there when I was at my weakest and reminding me why be anything besides a Dunmer. I continue to offer my fealty on the parchment as I begin writing my new character so that she may pay respects to the 6th House and Tribe Unmourned.
these videos are honestly the best way to indulge in Elder Scrolls content lately. Its a down to nirn realistic representation of Tamriel life and not super high presentation like Fudgemuppet (which is great too)

Bosmer are the Mer version of Argonians. Both live in jungle hellscapes and simp for trees. Both also often find employment in the service of the betters. Altmer and Dunmer for the Bosmer and Farm Tools, respectively.

I love the way you've set this up. Telling it from a very powerful creature from within the game... you just do it so well.
Having a bit of trouble arguing with you here on this one. If anything you are being too nice to them by not mentioning that they are probably the ones who invented stealth archer builds and spread them out across Tamriel. Damn cannibal stealth archer tree hugging savages is what they are.

the second empire built roads in valenwood in an attempt to get the bosmer to be civilized, but after the second empire disappears pretty quickly, they leave perfectly fine roads, (not as good as dunmer roads of course, but still roads which is better than what the bosmer do) they leave the roads almost entirely unused, and we are all forced to watch the pitiful state of valenwood lose the last of its chance to advance civilization like the other elves and humans.
of course, the roads weren't left entirely that way, the thalmor still needs them after all, but the bosmer are effectively more animal than human or elf at this point.

Anyone can waltz into a lush forest, carve little cubbies into trees and call them houses. Only the mighty dunmer were planting mushrooms and using magic to grow and shape them into mighty towers so they could bring civilation to a harsh volcanic wasteland.

Honestly they might be my favorite race in TES, so many of them come off as complete lunatics. I wish they had Craig Sechler do their voices in Skyrim, they weren't nearly crazy enough like they were in Oblivion.

The Wild Hunt and the Great Hunt are two different things though.
Despite making 13% of male population of humanoid species, Bosmer makes up 52% of femboy in Tamriel.
The land of Morrowind is not perfect. A video where Dagoth Ur counts a few things to hate about Morrowind could be fun. Not the obvious once like N'wahs, Mongrel Dogs and Farmtools. More day to day things Dunmer have to struggle with.

Well, the cannibalism does it by itself. You don't need another reason. And Dunmer do live in plants. It's just that they're giant magical super mushrooms they grew themselves instead of trees already there. If anything, you could say that Dunmer are less clever on that because they need to make their own plant buildings and can't just use what's already available.
Yeah the excellent mod Auri made me hate Bosmer culture as much as Orcs! What is next lol!!!! But Iam such a proud Altmer. I accept other cultures, unlike the Thalmor, though it is factual that we are the superior race

Actually bosmer lifespan is just about 200 years, not sure where you got the idea that they are the shortest lived of all races. Shortest lived are orcs, 60 years max.
