- This is the time of year in Michigan when families head Up North to experience the wonders of Northern Michigan. But, what if you didn't have to drive? Think how easy it could be if you could just hop on a train. Recently, the State House and State Senate passed a budget for Michigan with a surplus of $3 billion. Of that, $1 million will go towards a study looking at a passenger train from Ann Arbor to Traverse City, which is actually in phase two.
Awesome would definitely take the train!
I would definitely take the trip by train.
Awesome really hope it happens 🚄🚃🚃
It's 2022...they've been talking about commuter trains since 2007 and still haven't happen...what happened to the train from AA to the D?..they said it was suppose to have 1st service in 2009..then pushed it back to 2013...then pushed it again to 2017..then another setback to 2022 which is presently now and almost over and yet not one mention of a service date...well I been moved away from that state so I'm not upset about it anyway
I'll be 6 feet under before this becomes reality.🙄
Don’t do it!!!!!
It would be nice if you could take your car
This will likely never happen, and if it does it will be short-lived. Cars get you to and from Ann Arbor and Traverse City faster and once you get there by train you will have to UBER it or rent a car. Not a cheap trip or fast either. Passenger rail is fun, especially if you are retired and have a lot of time on your hands. Young families and college kids don't.
If they say $150,000,000, it's going to cost $500,000,000.00+. Stop it now.
This is insane! People are on welfare,in MI. This costs way too much money 💵.
If they have this kind of money, help people in MI,feed the hungry, help with rent, Craig for governor 🙏😁
Why would anyone want to go to Traverse city anyway
Thousands of people every year from across America, that's who…
