Does anyone know (maybe from her Instagram) if there are any updates about the cause of his disease? The last thing I heard was that he needs to be on antibiotics every day, but that they simply can't find the bacteria that cause his disease. I think that's super exciting (not for him of course), but simply scientifically because maybe he's infected with a new species of bacteria that isn't known to be pathogenic or maybe isn't known at all, or maybe can't be isolated! There are lots of bacteria that can't be isolated in a lab because you can't replicate the conditions they need to grow in the lab yet.

As a blind cat, her attitude was that there was some sort of DEMONIC device where the water used to be and would not go near it. After I removed it she viewed the water dish area with great suspicion for several days before she decided the exorcism had been effective.
The individuality of cats... fountains are often recommended for blind cats! 😹 My blind cat is such a pig for wet food that I rarely see her actually drink water, but when I do, it's always from the fountain rather than the bowl.
He’s just a lovely, gentle orange boi. I’m so glad he made it through his kittenhood. He really won the lottery considering that his “prize” for thriving with kidney disease was full membership in the Kitten Lady household. Lucky kitty!
I had a diabetic boy that loved water like this, we had two plug in fountains, 4 water dishes in all different rooms, AND he still wanted us to pour water into a dish. I would fill a pitcher and start high and move up and down. I called it the Thunder Water Show. He would hear the water splash and come running. All his whiskers pointed forward in excitement. I can still see those whiskers and his happiness. Miss that sugar boy.

Got a 19y old lady here (with kidney probs too) who loves to drink out of the bathtub. But jumping in is becoming hard for her lately. I'm afraid she'll hurt herself. That's why I don't let her in anymore. I tried 2 different fountains in the past. But the water has to come from above for her to like it, it seems. This could be the answer. Update: got the fountain. she likes it.
We had an older cat in our cat shelter who had kidney disease and he drank water constantly and ended up reversing the damage. He was given 2yrs and he lived for 5 yrs.

Hannah has made posts on her Instagram and Facebook about his current routine, it’s pretty similar to his old routine aside from the subcutaneous fluids- they had to stop the fluids after his last stay in the hospital because his body couldn’t handle the excess sodium. He’s still on daily antibiotics, a potassium supplement, an acid reducer, a probiotic and a prescription kidney diet 👍

Finding a water fountain with a large tank is so hard. It seems like building my own was going to be my only option. I have an old fashioned bathtub, so our cats will demand water from the tub spout. And they love to be daring and walk around the edge when the tub is full for a bath.
That fountain is wonderful. I have the plug in one but when I moved to my apt there was so outlet nearby. A battery operated one would be great! Plus the fact that it doesn't have to be running all the time saves on electricity. Can't wait to get one down the road. Fergie is adorable 💕
So great Fergie is still with you. We have a Siamese cat, Milla, 11 years old. In September we went to the vet. Her diagnosis: Milla's kidneys worked only 30%, she definitely won't reach 20 years. We immediately started to give her 3 drops of chlorine dioxide solution (cds) with a little bit of water every day in her food, now she is healthy again and is running around like before. This happens within few weeks! It's really worth a try, not only for kidney disease.
Ferguson has a care routine that works really well for him and has gotten him as stable as he will get ❤ unfortunately in his case, he’ll never be 100% “healthy” or “normal”- he has had kidney issues pretty much since birth 😊
When Fergie was drinking in the sink, he was just using his head to direct the water to the side of the sink where he could lap it up. Pretty smart! Incredibly cute!
They have some amazing things for all pets these days, but im so glad that fountains like this 1 will not only give your Fergie water when he needs it. Also it takes something off shoulders. We've gotten our cats a fountain last year (their Christmas present!) and they absolutely adore it. That alongside a heat mat have been the best things we've gotten for them yet.

My little cat has early kidney disease and just loves water too. She's very skinny and getting blind too but still going along! She's had it for a few years now so I'm happy she's still kicking. I'm glad your kitty is still kicking too! Hopefully for many years to come

Will miss Ferguson's mohawk, but the water fountain is really cool! I've had a Drinkwell fountain for a few years, but it's difficult to clean, hard to move without spilling when it's time to clean and I end up mopping the floor behind me. I just used your code to buy this one instead - my 2 tuxedo boys are going to be the most spoiled this Christmas (I don't have human kids). :)

i noticed fergie's ears are quite twitchy when he drinks, could this be related to him being underdeveloped/small for so long? i know kittens ears wiggle when theyre suckling and it looks similar but i havent seen it in an adult cat before
I love this product and how techy it is! I'd get it, but I currently have the My Lovely Feline fountain. It's not cordless, but it works amazing! (Plus, the filter only needs replacing every two months! Can't compare with that, and I haven't seen any other fountain with that kind of filter shelf life, at least that I know of). Definitely a wallet saver for not having to replace it every couple or so weeks! Otherwise, I love the technology and sensor this has! If only the filtration shelf life was as long as the current one I had.
Our water fountain runs off house current. We have a remote switch in place so we can turn it on and off. The cats love it. One of our cats drinks the same as Ferguson by licking the bowl rather than taking water from the stream. The others use the stream of water. If the fountain's off they drink from the sump. One of our cats sits by the fountain and stares up at us to turn it one for her.

You should get a stool or some mini stairs for her that way she can get up and down in a safe and comfortable way
Weirdest thing my cat has ever done is drink my bath water... but I don't think he has kidney problems just yet.
Aquapurr fountain hooks to the pipes and is also motion detected and it has a long pipe like a faucet. It can be set by the sink or in the tub.

you might have success with a dog fountain.

I've had a petlibro fountain for awhile, but I love this cordless option! Outlets are not in convenient places in my apartment for the fountains.

Our water fountain runs off house current. We have a remote switch in place so we can turn it on and off. The cats love it. One of our cats drinks the same as Ferguson by licking the bowl rather than taking water from the stream. The others use the stream of water. If the fountain's off they drink from the sump. One of our cats sits by the fountain and stares up at us to turn it one for her.
We have that same fountain, Tango loves it and so easy to clean 😺🧡

That is a really great fountain ! I think that I am going to try one.....I like the fact that its battery operated b/c I have usually used the corded ones.
