I wanna share an incident which happened in my life and i really wanna know how i should look at it. First of all Maa Kalika is our kul devi. I have been staying in Calcutta from past 5 yrs, away from my family to do job. My mother always used to tell me to visit the Dakshineswar temple but i never visited untill i had an official trip to Madhya Pradesh from office and i decided to visit the Mahakaleshwar temple. After coming back from that trip, within 2-3 months i visited the Dakshineswar temple which i never visited in the last 4 yrs or so. I got so enchanted by just looking at the vigraha that i bought a small picture of her in my room and started worshipping her everyday. Before this visit i never used to do puja. After this, i went again to the temple after a month, now I feel so overwhelmed by just looking at her statue that i just want to see her everyday. I dont do any sadhna or anything but i just take her name while doing puja. But i feel she pulls me towards her in some way. That energy is so lively, powerful but yet so peaceful.

It’s always been Kali for me, her raw, unfiltered dark matter. So, before I do any Sadhana to Batuka and Maa Tara, I pray to her and keep her close, and we’ll see this life or next. But it’s all Kali, everything is. When I pray to Batuka Bhairava, he is Kali. When I pray to Tara, she is Kali. You can sense Maa Kali’s Shakti within them all with a karmic filter that she lovingly places to suit my own karmic obstacles and obstructions. Out of her generosity, I’m able to learn from her channel with Praveen, and be able do Sadhana at all, especially for a non-Hindu coming onto the path 5 years ago. But in truth, I sense that there’s more I could be doing to connect deeper to Maa Kali, and that something inside me is subconsciously waiting, and not pursuing. It’s not fear of Maa Kali, it’s fear of coming face to face with what I’ve sewn in this life and past lives. Jai Maa Kali 🌺
I don't know if i am eligible to call myself a bhakta or not but i only pray to shiva. After seeing this video i realised that maa kali is not for me. Its not easy to be her bhakta, and also i don't feel attracted to her the way i am attracted to mahadev. For me shiva is everything.

Hello Praveen Ji, I have taken up the daily naam jap of Batuk Bhairav baba along with listening to Adya stotram and reciting Durga Dvatrinshnaam mala - for the purpose of spiritual evolution while receiving material blessings. I'm 21 years old and attaining all this knowledge has blessed with a mental peace for lifetime. I live in a hostel and as there are other people in the room I can't meditate there, so I go to a nearby temple which also has a Kalabhairava idol so I light a diya to him and offer bhog and recite Kalabhairav Ashtakam. But I sometimes I don't feel like going to temple everyday due to lethargy which is one of my major issues which often makes me relapse in sadhana. I have 2 questions: 1. Is it possible that I can sit anywhere anytime with my mala to do naam jap without lighting diya or offering bhog to still be in sadhana as long as I'm doing it daily? 2. Although I pray to Maa Durga to kill my lethargy and I even go to gym to stay active, I've struggled with laziness and procrastination for a long time, do you have any advice for me?
If there was a promise made to sit only in the temple. Then you must keep it. If not, you can sit anywhere. Second part is a matter of grace, the ability to have laser focus and dedication to sit everyday comes from the Deties grace only. So keep going, one day they will hold you and give the focus to sit everyday without any need to convince yourself
Namaste. With no intention to contradict you, a grihasta man’s ultimate aim in society is to ensure that his family is in a far better position on the day of his death than the day he made the family. Notwithstanding their kaarmic history, the grihasta strives to give them material happiness and thus a perfect base for spiritual growth as individuals where they don’t have to think of materials and where they do not unnecessarily cultivate karma. There comes a stage when the grihasta looks back at what he has done in the past (even before he becomes a family man) and doubts whether he can accomplish the societal goal mentioned above without manipulation through sadhana of deities that are more materialistically gratifying, but understands his individual goal as Her upasana, under the mercy of Maa Kaali. Will he be lying to his family when he says they are his ultimate goal, and not Maa?
What you have mentioned in your post perfectly summarises the Grihasta under the sadhana of Deity like Shree Krishna, Maa Durga to quote as an example. However when his ultimate goal becomes anything other Kali, he will be shown the door in the sadhana of Maa Kali, he will be shown to the other forms of Kali which aren’t as tedious, it will become difficult to pursue Kali as an end goal if she isn’t the whole goal. The trick is to make her the only goal, and watch things simply fall into place. The successful Kali Sadhaka, has risen above incurring fresh Karma, he has also risen above the sadhana for material Goals. There is no other diety who embodies the Smashana as much as Kalika does. You have to enter the state of the Shamashana while living, material will all come, by her grace. But you are unattached to it, even to one’s own son or daughter. You are detached.
@@praveenrKalaBhairava thank you very much for the reply. I would like to add a bit more to the grihasta’s situation mentioned above based on the reply. The grihasta does not have a longing for material gains for himself, but Maa decided to step into his life only after his marriage. His awareness of Maa was zero before that. Now he is bound by the duty to tend to the material needs of his new family, just like a mother bird goes foraging for food when she hears cries of her helpless chicks. It even feels like Maa made it a point that it would never be easy for the grihasta to totally burn off the material self. He is now bound by the societal responsibility bestowed by Maa. He has to be the Varadaayini to the family. In a way, may be She intends to burn some of his karma by keeping him as a grihasta and thus put him in a situation to pursue material goals. May be that grihasta needs to be born again. Or maybe the grihasta is given a role now and pursuing it to the fullest extent is another form of Her sadhana.
Dear Praveen Ji, I am going through tremendous amount of mental and financial stress during last 24-25 days as my father is hospitalized from 1st August due to brain stroke and different other problems. I don't know what will happen!! I am doing sadhana from last 3 months almost, I am really feeling helpless. 😢, if you have any suggestions, please guide me, I missed 1 day sadhana when I admitted my father in hospital. namaste sir, would it be prudent to start Maa Kali Upasana after the parents are no more in their physical body? Because then visualising Kali Maa is your only Maa would it be less difficult for the mother who gave birth....
Remember There is no compulsion to start at all. Start only if you truly are in love with what she is. Otherwise her sadhana isn’t fruitful. Upsana you can do; upsana of kalika can be done by everyone.
Dada one request my kuladevi is mata mahashakti samhari, when I tried to know more about maa I got to know that maa kali vigraham is offered Puja as kuladevi, are both same or is their any specific form of kaali devi associated with my kuladevi? Dada please ask maa to resolve this (also dada in shastrnaam of maa any name means or resembles "mahashakti samhari devi""??)
Isn’t this a small question. Why is a whole video needed for this. You can have one as the Ishta, and perform their sadhana till the end of life, and other’s upsana can be done.
PLEASE REPLY....Is there any sadhana for dakhina kali maa? As much as i know, there is Shyama kali, dakshina kali, bhadra kali, kamna kali, rakhos kali, gruhya kali, kaamkala kali and rest 2 with respect . I don't know. So my question is...do we do sadhna only for 10 mahavidya? Can we also do saadhna for dakshina kali maa, like param hans ji did...with bhakti marg?
Want to unpack what you said about ability to manipulate events .....this will happen only after sadhak has enough wisdom and can use the power sensibly without generating more karma? Second question: a revered guru said one must never change ishta....for bhairav sadhaks, bhairav is ishta, will that be an insult to bhairava if after say 12 yrs of bhairav sadhana , maa kali barges in and she becomes the ishta?
@@chitrajadhav1855 1) yes, you can. 2) you don’t change Ishta, but you can still do the upsana of other Deties, that is how you do the upsana of Kali, if Kali is the Ishta then bhairava is the guru. Also the male-female forms go hand in hand. All forms of bhairava are bhairava, but each opens a different level of enlightenment within the Sadhaka and it is not meant for all to pursue.

Out of her generosity, I’m able to learn from her channel with Praveen, and be able do Sadhana at all, especially for a non-Hindu coming onto the path 5 years ago.
But in truth, I sense that there’s more I could be doing to connect deeper to Maa Kali, and that something inside me is subconsciously waiting, and not pursuing. It’s not fear of Maa Kali, it’s fear of coming face to face with what I’ve sewn in this life and past lives.

After seeing this video i realised that maa kali is not for me. Its not easy to be her bhakta, and also i don't feel attracted to her the way i am attracted to mahadev.
For me shiva is everything.

Sakthi derives her energy from Mahadeva. He is ultimately the holder of the Sakthi, however he is inert and to pull that Sakthi from him and put it to use, Sakthi comes into picture.

Hello Praveen Ji, I have taken up the daily naam jap of Batuk Bhairav baba along with listening to Adya stotram and reciting Durga Dvatrinshnaam mala - for the purpose of spiritual evolution while receiving material blessings. I'm 21 years old and attaining all this knowledge has blessed with a mental peace for lifetime. I live in a hostel and as there are other people in the room I can't meditate there, so I go to a nearby temple which also has a Kalabhairava idol so I light a diya to him and offer bhog and recite Kalabhairav Ashtakam. But I sometimes I don't feel like going to temple everyday due to lethargy which is one of my major issues which often makes me relapse in sadhana. I have 2 questions:
1. Is it possible that I can sit anywhere anytime with my mala to do naam jap without lighting diya or offering bhog to still be in sadhana as long as I'm doing it daily?
2. Although I pray to Maa Durga to kill my lethargy and I even go to gym to stay active, I've struggled with laziness and procrastination for a long time, do you have any advice for me?
If there was a promise made to sit only in the temple. Then you must keep it. If not, you can sit anywhere.
Second part is a matter of grace, the ability to have laser focus and dedication to sit everyday comes from the Deties grace only. So keep going, one day they will hold you and give the focus to sit everyday without any need to convince yourself

Namaste. With no intention to contradict you, a grihasta man’s ultimate aim in society is to ensure that his family is in a far better position on the day of his death than the day he made the family. Notwithstanding their kaarmic history, the grihasta strives to give them material happiness and thus a perfect base for spiritual growth as individuals where they don’t have to think of materials and where they do not unnecessarily cultivate karma.
There comes a stage when the grihasta looks back at what he has done in the past (even before he becomes a family man) and doubts whether he can accomplish the societal goal mentioned above without manipulation through sadhana of deities that are more materialistically gratifying, but understands his individual goal as Her upasana, under the mercy of Maa Kaali.
Will he be lying to his family when he says they are his ultimate goal, and not Maa?
What you have mentioned in your post perfectly summarises the Grihasta under the sadhana of Deity like Shree Krishna, Maa Durga to quote as an example.
However when his ultimate goal becomes anything other Kali, he will be shown the door in the sadhana of Maa Kali, he will be shown to the other forms of Kali which aren’t as tedious, it will become difficult to pursue Kali as an end goal if she isn’t the whole goal.
The trick is to make her the only goal, and watch things simply fall into place.
The successful Kali Sadhaka, has risen above incurring fresh Karma, he has also risen above the sadhana for material Goals.
There is no other diety who embodies the Smashana as much as Kalika does.
You have to enter the state of the Shamashana while living, material will all come, by her grace. But you are unattached to it, even to one’s own son or daughter.
You are detached.

The grihasta does not have a longing for material gains for himself, but Maa decided to step into his life only after his marriage. His awareness of Maa was zero before that. Now he is bound by the duty to tend to the material needs of his new family, just like a mother bird goes foraging for food when she hears cries of her helpless chicks.
It even feels like Maa made it a point that it would never be easy for the grihasta to totally burn off the material self. He is now bound by the societal responsibility bestowed by Maa. He has to be the Varadaayini to the family.
In a way, may be She intends to burn some of his karma by keeping him as a grihasta and thus put him in a situation to pursue material goals. May be that grihasta needs to be born again. Or maybe the grihasta is given a role now and pursuing it to the fullest extent is another form of Her sadhana.
Any thoughts on Ganesh sadhana before Bhairav sadhana? Isn't this recommended. Specifically Ucchista Ganapati? Please advise.

You can start her 108 names, and after a few years of bhairava Nama japa you can start her Nama japa
At the age of 17 being on studies being detached and i get you as my guide its all grace of maa and i will follow your guidance , maa is formless i cant imagine any god as form in nivakalpa samadhi maa seems to be a formless and being on non dual consciousness what i want to achieve waiting for further guidance
namaste sir, would it be prudent to start Maa Kali Upasana after the parents are no more in their physical body? Because then visualising Kali Maa is your only Maa would it be less difficult for the mother who gave birth....
Remember There is no compulsion to start at all. Start only if you truly are in love with what she is. Otherwise her sadhana isn’t fruitful. Upsana you can do; upsana of kalika can be done by everyone.

You can have one as the Ishta, and perform their sadhana till the end of life, and other’s upsana can be done.

Second question: a revered guru said one must never change ishta....for bhairav sadhaks, bhairav is ishta, will that be an insult to bhairava if after say 12 yrs of bhairav sadhana , maa kali barges in and she becomes the ishta?

1) yes, you can.
2) you don’t change Ishta, but you can still do the upsana of other Deties, that is how you do the upsana of Kali, if Kali is the Ishta then bhairava is the guru.
Also the male-female forms go hand in hand.
All forms of bhairava are bhairava, but each opens a different level of enlightenment within the Sadhaka and it is not meant for all to pursue.
