It's a very useful video! Could I ask a question? Can GOM inspection provide the result of 3D compare as RMS (Root Mean Square) values like Geomagic control?
Does an alignment which is performed in one of the ways as shown in this video affect the result of a GD&T measurement when the callout is with reference to datums? Or are the alignments shown here used only for analyzing deviations and generating color maps, and GD&T measurements are independent of it?
Hi! Thanks for your question and thanks for watching. By default, GD&T calculations are not affected by the alignment of the part so long as the alignment between the mesh and the CAD is not so bad that features cannot be automatically extracted by measuring principles. Non-GD&T calculations, scalar distances and color maps, for example, can be impacted by the alignment. Please feel free to email us at info@capture3d.com if you have more questions. Have a great day!
The software will still try to minimize the deviation of the selected area - in this case, the entire body. If you select the entire mesh data for local best fit alignment - it essentially becomes what a prealignment is with the best fit box checked. The big difference comes from the ability to define the maximum distance away in a local best fit, that the prealignment doesn't provide.
Great video thanks! I'm going to use this to compare a scanned cad model against our fabrication cad model. Hope it's as easy as you made it look haha! Thanks again
Hi bro iam Niyaz i have experience in 3d scaner blue ray gom with Atos software i want to get job like you or for higher studies in 3d scaner which courses i have to pick please guide me
Hi Dr. Mohammed! Yes, you can open an STL in the GOM Inspect Suite Software. You will want to register your free viewer version to get enhanced features at no cost. This will allow you to import a STL file. You can download the free program here - www.capture3d.com/3d-metrology-solutions/3d-software/free-gom-inspect. If you need more support, please feel free to reach out to us at info@capture3d.com!

What happens if we select entire mesh data for local best fit alignment.
Thanks

👌👌 waiting for new one
Thank you! We will be releasing tutorials on Virtual Clamping and Material Thickness next :)
how to open color map on gom inspect software
Here is another tutorial to learn about surface comparisons and color maps ruclips.net/video/Uijq-UYwBvw/видео.html
How are the RPS points created................
Hello, you can find instructions in the GOM Inspect Software Training - ruclips.net/video/k_NIQNB4a_c/видео.html

Thank you! Let us know how it turns out.
CAPTURE 3D can I use the free software for this or do I need the trial of the professional ?
@@mcgintywolves6574 Yes you can create an alignment in the free software.
Hi, just revisiting your comment and wondered how this worked out for you?
Hi bro iam Niyaz i have experience in 3d scaner blue ray gom with Atos software i want to get job like you or for higher studies in 3d scaner which courses i have to pick please guide me
can you pls make video or explain on this comment how you made those RPS points? And what if we have product with no flat surfaces?
Thank you for the suggestion!
Thank you, can you tell me can i use stl file in this program?? how? With respect
