Use a little silicone lube spray and that cable will pull really easily. An old technician told me a long time ago, “lubrication is the key to a happy and successful life”.
Great video! My buddies and I recently got into riding. After extensive research three of them bought Polygons and mines due in a few days. So far the three we’ve put together all shifted pretty good right off the bat. One has needed minor index adjustments. Very solid bikes for what you pay.
Quick follow-up, my T7 arrived yesterday and unlike the first 3 my buddies and I assembled, this one needed a couple minor adjustments. The indexing was off slightly and the dropper post lever cable set screw was loose causing the lever to not work. Both were easy fixes. First trail ride is today!
What workstand and clamp do you use. Mine wont fit between the rear shock and the top tube, Is the stand sturdy enough, it looked a little wobbly? Thanks for the help
Oh man this thing is really great value. Specialized’ cheapest mountain bike at my local shop is 2700, and has slightly less as good parts as this. Only concern are shipping delays…
@@LIFEOFSTUFFEDANIMALS Cool Cool, Thanks. I just got some new tyres and I have everything I need. I was just trying to take off the tubes and the tyres were sticking to the rims like crazy almost like there was sealant.
Hey Bud, anyway you can help me with getting polygon’s support/attention on a defective T8. Less than a year and it’s issue after issue. Last issue is defective shock mount bolt hole that doesn’t let the bolt go all the way through. It just ruined a brand new Float X. ☹️
It's not a defective frame. It's just a fat weld that leaves just enough room for the stock shock. I had to file the frame a little to fit a Float X2 but it fits fine
Most likely cable tension isn’t high enough. The dropper lever has a small barrel adjuster, you can try turning it counter clockwise a couple of turns and see if it helps
My T7 arrived in the same shape as this one, so I'd say that's a Polygon thing. The only other tool that's probably needed, but not included is a shock pump. From what I rode it, I love the bike, but I also received it between knee surgeries so I haven't had a chance to fully run it through the trails, but rather pavement pounding and some gravel as I recuperated between operations.
@@TheBikeSauce thanks, I appreciate the well wishes. And I was hoping a good one, which is why I went with it, but yeah, really looking forward to using it as intended. Also hoping the comparison is on the D series as the T and N have lots of coverage but other than the D5 for a base intro bike I haven't seen much on the D7.
Lovin' my T7! Very comparable specs foruch less than other bikes. I have no real complaints with mine.
Great vid 👌... and awesome build 🤙
this was so helpful, thank you!
Yes! Happy new bike day

My '21 Siskiu T8 I got last May was also shifting fine out of the box. The dropper post is the only assembly step that might give newcomers some pain.
Best build video ever!
Appreciate your support!
Nice, my dude.
Nice bro ...nice to meet you ... 😁 Im from indonesia 💪
I wasn’t so lucky…Mine came with the front brake pads stuck together, and some discoloration on the frame
my D6 shifting is perfect out of the box so I think they actually set it up from the factory
I miss Building 17!
I love electric polygon bikes 💌💌💌

3:39 what's that tool you used and how do you know if it is at the correct torque
I hope Polygon will be more popular around the world
Hey thanks. I think it’s definitely getting more popular
What’s the difference between an alloy frame which is mainly used by other bike companies than Polygon’s aluminum frames?
Oh man this thing is really great value. Specialized’ cheapest mountain bike at my local shop is 2700, and has slightly less as good parts as this. Only concern are shipping delays…
Yea, it's a gamble. As far as I know, they are catching up on production and delays aren't too severe.
@@TheBikeSauce Does Polygon come tubeless or With tubes?
@@montesim4 It comes with tubes but is super easy to convert to tubeless. You need a pair of tubeless valves and sealant but that's it.

This Sunday’s video will be how to go tubeless on the T7
Quick question: The tires and wheels say "tubeless ready" but do you know if they come taped or do I need to pick up some Stan's rim tape?
they are taped
i think the packaging is a bikeonline thing, my marin bike came packed the same way!
Is it worth changing the stock chain from the KMC to a shimano chain to take advantage of the shimano group set? would like to hear your opinions :)
You wouldn’t notice a difference. I’d spend the money elsewhere - like converting to tubeless

bit confused at 5:50 where he says torque all bolts down to spec.
My dropper post won't drop, any ideas? i bought the 20220 D7

Nice, yea it’s a good bike for sure. Hope you get well soon. New bike is good motivation to get out there!

I’ve only ridden the D7 and T7, so it’ll compare those two models
Professor sauce I'm assuming this was video before your railroad track accident. How are you coming along? Healed up and good to go?
Haha yes. I’m all out of order chronologically for the past few weeks. Back to 90% now, did my first gravel ride yesterday
@@TheBikeSauce that's what I expected a young man your age with Pro level fitness should have a very rapid recovery.
😂 so generous with ‘young’ and ‘pro’
@@TheBikeSauce it's all relative.
Dose this bike have ISCG5 mount?
Yes
Can I get that
Does the grease come in the box
You’ll need your own
Can u sponser me one plz
UK version comes with standard Polygon packaging and isn't great. I ordered a T7 and it came with a cheap flimsy black cassette. Not impressed
