I am absolutely on Ross' side on this. This is his job, it's important to him, he needs to be on time. And people who he relies on to be there for him make everything in their power to sabotage it!
I wouldn't even have given an answer to that attitude. She was making him late and she knew it. She had the whole day to get ready and did not. She reacted like a freaking child making a tantrum because she couldn't stand being yelled at for GOOD reasons, not giving her boyfriend's accomplishment credit... Sincerly, the best reaction I could have on that situation would be "You don't wanna go ? Ok, see you tomorrow !"
Ross was right to be mad but he shouldn't hv lost his temper like that.. Rachel was so insane... She utterly gave her bfs achievement no importance! It was a formal event and she had all day to pick out things to wear... Instead she opts to get delayed!
You realize the reason she was stressing about what to wear was actually because she cared about Ross and his job right? Like she wanted to look nice because this was important to him. She only acted petty because he lost his temper.
@@thenonbinarydetective an hour before a formal event is not the correct time If she really did give it that much importance she'd be ready well before time
@@user-jn7bq8wh1e it’s also not the correct time to argue over couch cushions or leave voicemails on their ex’s answering machines but that’s just how it is in the world of sitcoms. These characters behave in certain ways in order for their situations to become comedic. No one was ready…that’s the point of the episode.
Rachel is a grinch here. Yea Ross shouldn’t have yelled at her but check the room girl. Everyone was screwing up his big night. You needed to be the one to be ready. And you failed. THEN you throw a temper tantrum and make things worse. Worst character on the show bar none
We can always come back to Ross’s controlling, possessiveness whenever we like because it’s always there in our faces, but is it just me or does Chandler always ask the important questions?
If these were my friends u would have left them And Rachel his girlfriend clearly cared more about what she looked like rather than what was important to Ross never mind the fact that he waited a long time to get this award He should have told she needs to give him a sincere apology or else he cannot see their relationship working out
I lot of funny drama skits .. I'm a knick fan and asked them for a tryout back in the day around 27 years old .. they told me to go over seas to play ..
I hated this episode, it was a important night for Ross and nobody really took it seriously. Only Phoebe was ready on time. Yes he could've handled his temper better but his anger is justified.
People seem to always defend Ross here, but I got to say I see why Rachel did what she did here. All she did was try to look nice for Ross' big work event and I get why Ross was frustrated but at the end of the day, you shouldn't snap like that to your significant other. If he was going to snap at anything, why not snap at Joey & Chandler who were actively not getting dressed, pointlessly fighting over a chair and ruined Phoebe's dress. Also, let's face it, it doesn't take as long for us guys to get ready. People might think Rachel's being petty or something here but I don't think you should ever let your partner talk to you like you're a piece of crap
Oh please! If you want to look good for your guy's night then just start dressing early. And Ross should know not to be a pain. If she does not want to go, he should have gone. It's his Job (award or party, what ever) not a random party.
if she put thought into it and believed it would take a long time, she could simply start earlier. For example, if I think a certain chore's gonna take hella long, i get on with it before there are 7 minutes until its deadline (especially for something thats actually kinda important for ross)
I feel like both of them did mistakes, Rachel was supposed to get ready early and help her bf for his big night, and ross shouldnt yell at her, I mean if my bf yelled at me infront of ple, I would be just as mad
I see how Rachel felt with the yelling stuff .. dont blame her for not going .. i would of helped Rachel with her choice of shoes and put them on for her ..

My dad and I used to always watch Friends. This was our favorite episode lol

Which is very hypocritical, because she got so upset when she thought Ross wasn't giving her job any importance or value, while she did the same here.
You realize the reason she was stressing about what to wear was actually because she cared about Ross and his job right? Like she wanted to look nice because this was important to him. She only acted petty because he lost his temper.

I'm sorry but I'm not normally a Ross fan but he was right in this instance Rachel knew how important this was to Ross

no one respected him

If i was in ross's place i wouldnt have spoken to rachel or any of them and just gone out the door and gone to the event. Period
Honestly, in this situation Ross should be mad at her, and everyone else except Phoebe.

8 minutes to go, and still wondering about which shoes to wear? She was trying to sabotage his big night.
Trying or not, sabotaging.

I definitely act like Rachel when she came out of the bedroom.
So, you are someone who would punish the judge when he sentences you to imprisonment for a crime.
Rachel's most cruel and bitchiest moment!
Rachel is the characted I hate the most in the show and you cant change my mind
I know this is a just a show, but I always hated Ross, not my favorite character. The whole relationship between these two were really toxic.
Have always found Rachel's character super annoying, just not a fan
