This year we’re celebrating 10 years of 5 seconds of summer. Singlehandedly the best 10 years of our lives. To honor every experience, lesson and person we’ve encountered we decided to make The 5 Seconds of Summer show. Something that captures the pursuit of creation, the love of the relationship we have with our fans and the endless boundary of what it means to be in a band. Above all else we were once again rediscovering how beautiful it is to be able to share our story together.

the fact that we were worried they wouldn't do anything for ten years of 5sos... they really went all out, we don't deserve them
I feel like they have always involved their fans in things more then other artists. No other band would put this up on RUclips for everyone to enjoy for free. Others would post it on a streaming service for money. They truly show how appreciative they are if their fans and just want everyone to enjoy their music.
I've been a massive fan from the beginning and songs like jet black heart have helped me through some rough crap. I truly love and appreciate these 4 men so much!!

Out of my limit performed by 2021 5sos hit me harder than I expected. I can’t believe it’s been SIX years since I was 14 and jamming to it on the bus to school. Growing up with this band has been so fun. My heart is really full.

I found them back then except I was 6 and I was dragged to a concert by my sisters. I don’t regret it at all :)
I wasn’t there to see them but I remember learning that they were going on with one direction who was also a favorite band of mine and I got soo excited! I am 22 now and I miss those days!

We're similar age, it's like I went to high school with you guys and we're still buddies. We used to be angsty teenagers who always worked so hard to be punk rock and my taste in music has evolved right along with you, into alternative rock. It’s incredible to see the growth this band has gone through over these ten years. I found them when I was 12 and now I’m almost 22.. I have been with them through it all it seems. I remember counting down the days til SLSP MV premiered and the moment I first heard them on the radio. Binging their Keeks and staring at a man paint a brick wall for an hour for She’s Kinda Hot. It’s these moments that I will never forget. Their music came to me when I really needed it and it’s amazing how much I grew along with them.. Here’s to ten more guys!!

Been a fan since 2014 and I honestly just want to thank this band for raising me and getting me through very dark moments in my life. Watching this reminded me of high school and how dedicated I was as a fan. I remember when SLSP was released in the US and buying the ep. Buying all the albums, merch, watching keeks, livestreams etc. You guys will forever have a special place in my heart. I'm immensely proud to be here since the start. Your music saved me and gave me a safe place to be. You influenced my life in the best way possible.I see you guys now ,and I just can't believe this is the same band that wore ripped skinny jeans and piercings and claimed to be punk rock. c': This is the band that I grew up listening to as a teenager and now as a 23 year old. This show brought back all the memories and recognizing all the references, pulled my heartstrings. I felt like I was 15 again. My heart fills with so much joy, seeing the men and the band that you are now. Happy 10 years of 5sos, it's been such a pleasure supporting you and continuing to support you. If this isn't the perfect example of what 5SOS is as a band I don't know what is. Even though they have gotten bigger than they ever dreamed they could, they are still the 4 idiots from Sydney that we all fell in love with.
I could analyse this show forever. I love that they distinguish in tiny ways their callbacks to their past. They dress the way they dressed for teenage dirtbag for the parody flashback but for the actual "flashback" to their first performance of their own first song, they don't dress identically because it's not a parody, it's an homage (is that the right word?) and they're proud of their past while also being able to mock the things they say that sound like something everyone would say/expects to be said just a few minutes before. I adore the amount of thought put into this.
I just realised that maybe the sketch with them scolding the crew member for not bringing them "melted ice! in a crystal glass!" might be in reference to when Lilly Singh called them out by "exposing their rider". I love self aware people who are able to laugh at their past selves while also loving their past selves. ❤
I am SOBBING AH getting flashbacks to my teenage years, insane that everyone's all grown up now- made some of my best friends through them and they got me through so much on their own... the live streams, shows, song releases, and so much more 🥺😭 I will always love this band so much 💛

luke’s voice at 35:48 is so amazing and did something so cool, his transition from chest voice to head voice and then back to chest voice on “shadows covering” was so fast and smooth that if you weren’t paying attention you probably would’ve missed it but it’s such an amazing little vocal detail that really shows how far he’s come vocally

I cried so bad when they played Jet Black Heart. I remember the exact moment when I listened to Jet Black Heart for the first time, a couple minutes after it was released, I was 14 and I got obsessed. I watched so many times the official music video, it was beautiful. I love each word of the lyrics and since the moment one that I learned how to play it on guitar, I never stopped. I would play that riff wherever I see a guitar. I don’t think I could ever express what this song makes me feel and what it means and meant to me. It saved me a hundred times. Definitely my favourite 5sos song, and sgfg my favourite album. I love you so much, 5sos.

The recreation of Gotta Get Out was magical! The guitar-only version of Teeth was fantastic and Ash's guitar solo at the end was sick! All the commercials, the comedy, the soundchecks... Un. Be.
