- Franco Morbidelli guided his VR46-run Ducati GP24 to top spot on day two of the 2025 Sepang MotoGP test, as factory counterparts Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez suffered crashes on day two
After a dramatic opening day on Wednesday that saw reigning world champion Jorge Martin, Trackhouse Racing’s Raul Fernandez and VR46’s Fabio Di Giannantonio ruled out through injury, Thursday appeared much more calm.
Morbidelli, who will continue to race the GP24 he rode last year, headed former Yamaha team-mate Fabio Quartararo. The 2021 world champion continued to look strong on the M1, with Quartararo jumping up to second late on with a 1m57.324s.
Gresini Racing duo Alex Marquez and rookie team-mate Fermin Aldeguer were third and fourth on their GP24s.

Not a problem, just pushing the bike a bit more and trying things. Looking forward to Marc putting in some fast laps tomorrow, see how he fares against Bagnaia, although it is just testing and Marc's strength is the race.

The biggest story for day 2 is how generic day 1 recap was without Simon.. we really do want Simon back please.

Yeah with aero and michilin not bringing new tires every tear. This is insane to me, yeah they "tweek" it but c mon this is motogp EVERYONE is screaming for better front to match insane grip rear(that seems to let go BIG) Seriously ive watched last decade+/- of motogp and its so sad Michelin constantly fail to update tires as fast as aero and electronics loading goes up. to where when they wreck they wreck big. I mean they HAVE a new front tire yet cant bring it till 26? When aero etc loads will go up even more? Seriously?
It’s gonna be a boring season with Martin and DIGGI out . Hope for a quick recovery.

Es un gran corredor FERMIN , es mucho mas fino en saber que moto quiere y como lograrlo , cosa que ACOSTA todavia es una cuestion pendiente , ojo con FERMIN , mucho ojo , a la hora de ganar lo va a hacer , pero creeria que falta madurar la moto unos milimetros mas , atte .
