Thank you!! I've been looking at this type of hair curling tool for many months trying to decide which kind to buy. I've been leaning toward the CHI, but even with that brand there are different models. One CHI says it contains lava & somehow that makes it better?? I've watched a lot of videos showing how to use A specific brand & model, but yours is the first one I've seen that really compares two brands, literally side by side. I really liked that you tied all your hair back & then demonstrated how each tool made the curl on opposite sides! No other video I've seen has done that. You gave me a close up, one on one view of each curl, without all the rest of your hair in the way. Brilliant idea! And even though you placed your hair to curl one way in the CHI when you wanted it to go the other way, you were honest & it still looked good. I loved how you didn't just give your opinion, but all through the entire video you also gave a lot of valuable information. Like how long each one took to warm up, make the curls & do an entire side. You compared the size of each brand & told us which one was a bit easier to use. You also showed us the end results & which one could make the curls tighter & all around more versatile. You have helped me tremendously in making my decision! I hope my hair will look as good as yours after I use my new CHI Spin & Curl! And I'm now subscribed to your channel! Win win! 😀🙋👍❤

I have the Chi you can set the beep on the chi to what time you want, Also every time you respin it starts the clock over. You can remove it before the beep as well just depending on how quick your hair curls. I think the Chi side is so much better looking and again you can change the settings to make it quicker. The Calista didn’t look like it is digital so it could be really uneven on the heat.

Definitely getting the air n curl because it has tighter curls , I live in humid weather so they tend to fall if it’s not a tight curl and I need it for my Christmas party and Christmas choir. And events or just feel like having curls I will use it.

So yes, it does the trick without having to straight it before but it is not as pretty and won’t last for example for the next day.

I have the Calista, I use it literally everyday. My hair is very long, down to my butt, & this tool still works! It takes me 15 minutes for my whole head! I love it!!!
So the chi starts the 15 second stretch all over again if you press it while you’re in the middle of a curl that is why your hair was smoking. You can let go of the chi sooner if you want a looser curl so the Calisa side is doing the same thing if you let go at the same time. Hope that makes sense
Have you used this without first straightening your hair? I typically brush my natural curl out before curling so I don't have to double process the hair.

What is the right temperature for this tool. Make sure because dependes of the kind of hair color if has high lights bleaches or the hair is natural... 😕
the calista zen side would have been better if you put the setting for the time longer, they have 8 10 and 12 i believe. and skinner sections lol.. but good video.
I don't know why but it seemed like you liked the chi one from the jump start if you want the curls to be tighter for the oalista one you just leave it in a little longer after the 3 beeps. Have used both and they are both good
Also use a thinner lock of hair if you want it tighter and to last longer. The curls stayed in mine for two days. It appears she had it on the lowest setting for the Calista which isn't as hot or timed very long.
CHI side looks much better in my opinion.. :) love the sweater!!

The Calista actually beeps while it's curling and it's not done til it beeps fast multiple times. It is NOT done on the first beep!

I have the maxi glide. It pulls your hair out and ir frizzes up so fast

The Calista has four temp settings and each setting has its own time set. It basically runs just like the Chi.

Love the curls in the CHI side. The curls are more defined.
I really like that they can choose the curl left or right, I really suck at going the other direction for some reason on a manual hair iron.

Team Chi base on shorter warm up time & tighter curls (prob since time is longer for them to set) plus shorter learning curve & less risk of tangling.
