We thoroughly enjoyed our Milan and Venetian lagoon cruise with Uniworld. What was very good is now great, following the incident where the huge MSC bully crashed into it at the debarkation dock. We finished our journey precisely one week before that kick in the pants. Venice now says no more huge ships like the MSC.
Yes... the larger ships have had to find alternative docking stations around the Venetian Lagoon. Some are not far away (close to Venice Airport). Others are further afield -- Chioggia (about an hour away), Ravenna (about 2 hours away), and a few others. It is very nice on Uniworld to be docked right in Venice.
