I was there in October with my wife after a few days in the Everglades. It is a very nice place and I found the people very friendly. We were in a sports store and they invited us to visit the Yatching Club. Greetins from Colombia.

Been going to Marco Island for 25 years. Just bought a direct access lot 2 blocks from the beach in January. Breaking ground for our new home in a few weeks. My wife and I are very excited. People don't realize the island has something like 50 restaurants. Marco Brewery was nice addition last year. DaVinci's and Prime are also very good along with the local favorite The Snook Inn. And its 30 minutes from downtown Naples if you like to shop. It used to be the best kept secret but the word is out.
Trey Drier Nice comment. Welcome to paradise. Marco Island was voted best island in the U.S.A. so it's hard to keep the secret. Like you, I've been going to Marco for 25 years. Hard to quit a good thing.

Glenn also there is a big difference in pricing if you are talking about renting in season or out of season which is from after Easter and just before Christmas. I assume you were talking about rentals not purchase. You should try our beautiful Island and thank you Pierre Repooc for posting.

Thanks Glenn. Condo prices are really hard to generalize on and vary widely based on the season, proximity to the water, number of rooms, view etc. Try the web site "mymarcovacation" by Horizon Rentals to get some ideas.

The water here is amazing. We just bought a condo at Stevens Landing on Marco. My husband and I love it. It's a beautiful place to visit or to live. And contrary to some of these comments, you don't have to be rich and all the people we've met have been extremely friendly. I am a REALTOR. So when you want to buy, let me know. I can get great deals
Head down to Key Largo to Key West.

Antonio Cognato you can occasionally get a cold spell for say up to day to a week. But usually by March there is less of a chance for this. In fact by the end of March with the humidity it is often too hot for me. I hope this helps.

It's hard to find a place to park just to go to the beach and when you do find one they charge you up the wing wang. Pack a few thousand dollars if your planning on staying overnight.
I live in Marco why am I watching this? Btw the JW Marriott is like $600 a night but well worth it (given I have never seen the rooms)
I like the Marriott on the beach too, to people watch and lunch at Quinn's maybe but not stay overnight for sure.

You are correct. I've never seen snow in the 30 years I been going to Marco.
+dvferyance It snowed in northern Florida in 2009. I drove in it.
Marco Island is about as south as you can get in Florida with the exception of the keys.
Marco Island is as south as Miami and when I visited it in February of 2009 it was sunny and 80 degrees everyday.
Be sure to watch to local news. Every year we have " Red Tide" otherwise known as Lake O runoff that kills a ton of fish and in the last 2 months over 60 turtles. I no longer swim in that! #moving
