I played with a jazz harp player in school. He's a great player, and the tone of the instrument really opens up different possibilities with harmonies. Only annoyance was the love of reverb that most jazz harmonica players have. Why not just amp the clean sound of the harp? Sounds good as is
Great video! Tnx for posting it! Now the question for Hendrik is, what's the secret to playing "a connected legato sound in your notes"? Is it just "practice makes perfect" or are there a couple tips he can give to people who want to "master that sound," as he said?
Yeah I know what you mean. If it's a ballad I prefer an instrument with a bit more 'meat' to it's sound, like the tenor sax (Ben Webster's my favourite)
Tallest, don´t drop instrument on ground, ha ha. He is not so bad in Vibraphone ether! Nice to hear his comments on playing Chromatic Harmonica, Great JVGuy! JDB MultInstrumentalist
