The first time I saw MAMAMOO was in this video, without lyrics. I also was like hmmm? Because this music style was new to me. Then I saw their mama 2019 Hip performance. And that blew me away. It is so amazing! So I came back to this video, put the lyrics on and THEN they stole my heart. Girl power! They're the perfect group! After that I watched more and more videos and they really are the best group with the best vocals and rapper. Im a proud fan. To me, Im happy to have them in my world!

You're right the song and I think the whole album means quite a lot to them. As others already told you in the comments HIP is on the one hand a response to their haters, but on the other hand the whole message of the album and also the song was that no matter what you do in life you have worth and you deserve respect from others. I think this is a message that is especially directed at women. When you watch the video (the teasers make it even clearer) they all portray stronge female characters who stand and fight for something: a music company ceo (moonbyul the rapper), a climate change protester (wheein, blue hair), a president (Hwasa, black hair) etc. you can see solar (blonde hair) as a princess running away from her castle (and strict binding conventions), they gave drag queens a platform in the music video and recognized that being a mother is as demanding and deserving of respect than any other job. And besides that message it is moreover a declaration of love to each other, because they say no matter in which universe we are, and no matter how many obstacles are put in our way, we are always destined to meet again and in the end we always find a way back to each other.
