I really love the advice you gave about playing games for fun, not as a chore. It's something I realized back then and glad to see people talk about it
I really can't argue on the progression rate of getting cards in marvel snap since I got really lucky on getting cards that I need. I'm at collection 1300+ and the only competitive card that I don't have is wave and destroyer. But I can see why people still complain on the rng of collectors cache.
Not sure I agree with the opinion about incentive. Playing the game for hours with no progress towards your collection doesn't always feel great. I love the game but I also love adding new things to my collection. Feel like a small credit reward every 10 wins or something wouldn't be too crazy.
I'm glad you addressed the question about Juggernaut in the video. I had the same question. I've been enjoying the p2 version of this deck and look forward to playing this when I get the last card or two for it. This guy is great buy his stuff.
I feel like putting in counter cards in almost any deck can be useful, especially if you are missing a few cards to make that deck complete. You make up the loss of efficiency by snapping and winning big when you counter stuff like Wong, Patriot, Devil dinos, cerebro, etc.
Hey Jeff. This deck just got me to rank 60 for the first time. Going to see how far I can push this season, but I’ve already reached a new peak thanks to you. Keep up the good work!
I have been struggling with this build. I really liked the Serra disruptive deck but LeechLeader has knocked that down. This video should help me optimize my play a bit!
I’ve really be enjoying what I call “Knull the Destroy” deck. Is center around high power low cost cards to then ramp into destroyer and drop Knull T6. You can play it like a zero deck if you don’t get Knull. Another core combo is Doc Oct a lane, destroyer into a different lane to then drop Knull in the last lane. Disrupts there hand while you transfer doc octs power to Knull. Wave and venom would be good additions but I don’t have them. # (1) Sunspot # (1) Yondu # (1) Zero # (1) Ebony Maw # (2) Psylocke # (3) Electro # (4) Typhoid Mary # (5) Doctor Octopus # (5) Red Skull # (6) Knull # (6) Doctor Doom # (6) Destroyer # eyJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU3Vuc3BvdCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiWmVybyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRWJvbnlNYXcifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkVsZWN0cm8ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlBzeWxvY2tlIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJUeXBob2lkTWFyeSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiS251bGwifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlJlZFNrdWxsIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJEZXN0cm95ZXIifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkRyRG9vbSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRG9jdG9yT2N0b3B1cyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiWW9uZHUifV19 # # To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and paste it from the deck editing menu in Snap.
Hey Jeff great vid as always! I feel this is a better version of your pool 2 disrupt deck (I think that was the name) you made like a month ago and that was the deck I climbed highest with: 83. My main problem piloting said deck and I anticipate I will have the same problem with this one was: when to snap (and sometimes even when to retreat but to a lesser extent). Since your gameplan is basically, well, disrupt your opponent I more often than not fail to see when Im ahaed and can confidently snap. Any tips for that? Like locations to snap to, starting hand, etc? Thanks a lot!
I guess you should snap when your tools for disruption outweigh the enemy' plays. Basically whatever you see they are "leaning" on to potentially win, if you can win (eg vision t5, and win with angela+ enchantress against their blue marvel t6) snap since you can knock them down. If not retreat or take the 2 cube bet
These decks are the hardest to snap with in the game because they require you to understand your position in a given match up based on the disruption in your hand. Basically just gotta push the odds when you think you are ahead based on how things are lining up.
I was doing a slightly different version of a disruption deck and funny thing, someone placed a Galactus on the left side but I played juggernaut on the left as well, I also had priority. The galactus went mid where he already had 3 cards there... I got super lucky
Right now a lot of ppl just quit before 1k collection. They need to fix it. Pool 3 is a mess and looks like it will only get worse over time. I used to play a lot, now i just do dailies since i have no cards to complete any good deck and i just get farmed by lucky players or ppl who bought the bundles. I bought the last battlepass and i couldnt even use the card yet since i have nothing to use it with. Dont need to say that im not buying the current one. Its not fun being farmed since i have no cards.
This is a sweet deck and I'm gonna give it a shot. Sera disruption is probably my favourite deck to play and got me to 90 last season, but doesn't play well into the leader leech meta so I can't wait to try this out
Whilst I agree that there's always a good idea to have a carrot on a stick in front of the players. I do have to say that Marvel Snap's carrot is so far away from players that you can't even see it. For instance, I've completely given up on ever playing cards like Thanos, because I know it will probably be several months, maybe even over a year before I can actually get that card. Not to mention that you can't even somewhat reliably target specific cards like the Token shop was meant for. I've checked the reset every single time since it was introduced and still haven't seen a single card I'm looking for. Yet they've gone out of their way to show me TWO cycles of series 5 and also BOTH ultimate variants. I'm also curious to hear your opinion regarding card acquisition rate. You say it's fine as it is. But didn't you also say that you're spending as much money as the game allows you. So it feels like you wouldn't really know if it's fine for someone that doesn't spend that much money. Wouldn't their words hold a bit more weight than someone who is whaling for cards? I personally feel that it's way too slow. The last card I got to actually somewhat make a new/updated deck was like 3 weeks ago. That to me is not fine. Whilst Runeterra didn't have enough carrot dangling on a stick. I still have to say that it felt infinitely better to log into that game weekly to get some rewards. Because it actually felt rewarding. Marvel Snap weekly doesn't even guarantee you a single card and I've completely given up on the Token shop showing anything remotely useful. If I had to choose between too much reward and too little reward, I think I'd rather go with too much reward.
@@mc9723 It's fine to speak for yourself. But saying "most of us" then you are speaking for other people. Lest you have a credible source to back that up, I'm gonna dismiss it.
As someone who has constantly run the numbers on every econ change SNAP made - it honestly makes me really annoyed to hear folks like you say stuff like "maybe even over a year before I can actually get that card". It has _never_ taken a full year to get every card in SNAP. Even the slowest rate during the closed beta it was 9~ months. SNAP literally makes sure you get cards at set levels. The slowest you get series 3 cards is 11~ a month while spending ZERO dollars which is a new card every few days. Every change they've made has made getting every card faster for the player as I've been constantly running the new numbers. Set your feelings aside and look at the actual data. Everything I've written here is stuff I've covered in depth in other updates on this channel. I would not have spent nearly the amount of money I have on Marvel SNAP if this wasn't my job. Most of these cards I'd never play with or want if my goal wasn't to highlight everything I could.
@@HooglandiaSnap But even looking at your data then over a year might still be accurate no? 11 cards a month and there 77 series 3 cards. So 7 months. Then including another month for the 10 series 4 cards. Then also including an additional 3 months for the 32 cards that will be released during those other 8 months. And now we're up to exactly 12 months and we haven't even touched a single series 5 card. You might have to get through a couple of those before you finally get the one you want. Meaning if you want say Thanos, it could take over a year to actually get him. This being of course the worst case scenario. But that's also my point. If you're not lucky, it can take months or even over a year to get a card you want.
@Whitedudeabove if you'd like actual numbers instead of continuing to make stuff up I have a breakdown covering this here: ruclips.net/video/3QBvNIMvcPM/видео.html
Speaking of disruption: is the current featured location Vormir or Atillan? I'm getting really sick of my good opening hands getting shuffled into my deck.
So I guess Magneto's pulls are random when he has more targets to choose from than he can pull? I thought it was play order, but pulling Punisher over a Brood Spawn has me assuming it's random. Really enjoy watching Jeff pilot these decks, unlike most CCG's I've played, Snap seems to reward good play more than strict Rock/Paper/Scissor deck meta.
For some reason i still don't have mysterio. But I do like hood viper combo into debri or green gob and hope that it's not a Deathpool, Venom Zola, or a Deathwave deck
There's always the Hulk. That sounds like a joke, but it's genuinely not. You do miss out a little on the movement ability, but I'm playing a deck similar to the one above, and the Hulk does fine as just a big dumb dino you can play wherever you need to shore up your power, since this deck's disruptive cards tend to be a bit below the curve. Another alternative is Spider-Woman. She doesn't offer quite the same stat swing that the Hulk does, but you can play her a turn earlier (or alongside a Demon on turn 6), which has some value.
Sweet disruption highlight, I find myself bouncing between this build and absorbing man sera disruption (well, not so much with the recent abundance of the green devil). If playing the game is a chore, you should play something else really cannot be overstated enough. It's done wonders for my enjoyment of games, dropping most of the games where I found myself just grinding and focusing on the ones that do spark joy.

"They're upset they're not getting everything instantly." As I like to say, gamers are their own worst enemy
Exactly. Because you know what people would do if they had every single card? Stop playing the game.
Seriously, most of the fun is working towards unlocking and getting everything, once you have everything it’s only fun to jump on complete the pass and call it good
That's actually my biggest fear , that I'll unlock all the cards and then lose interest in the game. That's why I'm happy to only be around level 1000 where there's still the excitement of opening a reserve and not knowing what I'm going to get.
Noone wants to unlock everything , we want to be able to buy specific cards without relying on fucking lootboxes
I like how he says that, then says that if you are only playing for rewards, they aren't enjoying the game @ 25:30. I think he just invalidated his own owning everything argument.
Ffs my tier three cards suck, I’d trade half my cards for magneto .
I think Jeff's takes on collection speed are a little funny considering that he gets more money out of this game than he puts in.
Engaging in the comments. Plus, I used the p2 deck when I first got p2 complete to get to infinite.
im only missing mysterio so i cant play this i guess lmao
As mentioned at the start of the video there is a series 2 variation of this deck in the description.
