Hello Hollie, I'm a 68yr old great grandma and I love you and your channel. You are such an inspiration for all young women. I did some drag racing in my youth but I really wish I was around the crawling area . I love it! But I also love speed! Keep doing your thing n I'll keep watching
Hi Hollie, I'm a confirmed Matt lifetime fan, and as such have come to adore Fab Rats and Robbie Layton, and now Matt takes us to visit you! This was a great video, so glad you made progress on the new vehicle. See you on the next one!
great job with the welds, looks good. With that crowd you hang around you`re gonna learn a lot and your mittens are perfect! Thanks Hollie and Walter! Rock On!
Its nice how simple Ed lives his life. I wish for a whole process video between all parties that helped. Ed will see how much he means to you all and all of us who follow. New to the channel Hollie. Love the jeep! Keep up the good work! Excited to see the new build. Everyone was nervous when first welding. Keep at it!
@@MischiefMakerTV any one would be. Im happy just getting to watch. Maybe some day I will make it back over your guys way and get to meet him in person along with all of you. How do I put my name in for the new jeep build? I was looking and cannot find it anywhere
I can't tell you just how enjoyable it is to watch you and a Great Bunch of Friends fabricating, welding and wrenching together on a off-road vehicle 🚗... the camaraderie is truly heart ❤️ warming... with so much DIVISION and VIOLENCE constantly broadcasted from Our FAKE LameStream Media, it's really NICE 👍 to see 👀 truthfully how goodhearted American's actually live... Nice job Hollie! I've been teaching my 14 year old daughter to weld for a few years now! I encourage both my girls to try anything that they are interested in!!
Great job Hollie!! Many years ago, for a few short years, I was a welding supervisor in a manufacturing plant building aircraft de-icing equipment. Your welds are looking good!! Great to see all those guys come in and help!! Great people!! Looking forward to seeing the finished project!!😃
Happy Birthday, Hollie! 🎂💙 Love the camaraderie and support you provide to one another. You guys have developed quite the following across social media. Given the heartfelt sense of family and community you share with us, it'd create one very special Jeep giveaway if it came replete with autographs!
Matt did go and supply Lizzie before. The red Jeep in the back of the shop looks just like the old brush truck I used to drive as a volunteer fire fighter in rural NC a LONG time ago.
Your welding looks great! Pretty cool when Matt was bashing it with the hammer 🔨 & it didn't break!! Soak in all the knowledge you can with the guys there, & you're on your way.. Excited to see the finish & the winner 🏆 🥇 🎊
Nice bead for a newbie, Hol. Definitely stay with it. It is an invaluable skill that serve you well for many years and in many situations. Rory at Trailmater has a rig built into his incredible tow truck and does on the trail repairs. Backs up to whatever's broken and zaps it right there in the dirt, on the vehicle. That'd be nice when you are 12 miles in and something could be welded to make it good. Cheers from E. Ontario!
Awesome!! When you come back to get MM, you and Lizzy need to have a weld-off!! Both of you had the same teacher! lol! Great job...you already weld better than I do! 👏
Holly your welds are better than I've seen done by guys who have done it much longer. Practice makes perfect and I think you had a couple of good teachers. When you watch Matt teach Lizzie and how fast she picked it up you can tell he is a good teacher.
Welding jokes aside, learning how to weld really opens up the thinking process. From how to chose stock, how do I cut this into what I want, to making a sketch, and how to undo a mistake. From making a template from a pizza box, to rubbing a cold one on your forehead, you'll learn the tricks of the trade. Also the valuable advise of an experienced fabricator can save you hours or even days of work undoing a mistake. It is an art form and seeing a project come to completion is quite satisfying.
Great job on the welding Hollie you're a natural for sure Matt tried hard to break your first weld and couldn't that's cool seeing everyone come together on this build is great
You did quite well welding. Congrats. A couple suggestions. You may want to get a magnifier for the welding helmet. It all depends on YOUR eyesight and how big or small the parts are you're welding. I TIG weld a 1/4" pin on the end of a 10 mm bolt and use a 2.5X magnifier so I don't mess up the threads. A 1.5X or a 2.0X magnifier would probably be fine for you. Also, do your best to keep your hands and "mittens" (gloves) clean. Dirt transfers heat quickly. Jeff, a former certified welder
I strongly suggest taking a MIG class at your local Technical school...it's a lot of fun and you learn some of the Technical aspects of welding and practice. As a bonus it's super cheap. Be prepared to work on a project
Always great to see everyone get together. I was surprised to see ed make that long trip. Hope you didn't tell him about his rokun or golden nugget. Keep up the awesomeness.
I need the back story on that South Dakota Plate sitting on the wall by the vice! McPherson County SD is a very small county with like 2,500 people in it, super cool!
That Dime laying is awesome! You are a natural! Such a inspiration. I asked Kevin a couple weeks ago to teach me to weld. I must get my mittens and helmet. I have the welding machine.
I really want to get into welding! Thank you Hollie for showing me if you just try you can do it. Keep up the video's want to see more, and its awesome when you hang with people from other channels I like. Robby got your jeep messy send him a bill for wash!!!!
I'm a long haul truck driver to support my family but I'm a back yard fabricator every chance I get. There's nothing like watching a project go from a pile of metal and a plan to a thing that didn't exist until you made it come to life. I'll warn you now! It's addictive!!
Started watching after seeing you on a MORR. vid. Subscribed when you let Lizzie drive. Been binge watching from the beginning. Loved this vid with the all star crew. Keep it up Hollie and Walter.
cool i done stick welding wire welding is way different what i found out what harder is over head welding and at the same level standing up but welding leaning down was easy for me

When you are welding, you are controlling a puddle of molten metal, as you move your puddle the back edge of it cools, and forms a semi-circle, on the cool side of the puddle, take a little time to play a little with the puddle, make it larger, make it smaller, move faster, move slower, and watch what the metal is doing, and it all becomes second nature… Thick metal is easier, thin metal burns through easy, that’s were heat control is important… My last job was building rock crushers from scratch… I’ve literally done miles, and miles of welding…lol… Big wire 3/32nd inch wire…
