    Next time you open the back door. Look at the hinge that is near the bottom that is not exposed like the top hinge. All doors have two hinges.

    As a fellow FJ owner... I concur, especially on that tiny fuel tank.

    As a new FJ owner, mine had an overcoat done on the frame where I bought it. The other issues, having a stronger cargo door would be nice i agree. As for blind spots this is easily fixed. I havent even put blindspots on yet, i drive an ambulance everyday. Its not a big deal for me. Parking, just back into parking spots. Regardless of the car youre in. Theres literally so many benefits by backing in. Suicide doors are fun, sliding rear windows would be nice however. My only gripes is honestly factory standard grille brush guard, instead of optional, and a few more factory switches in some of the dead space. Although a hidden factory winch mount wouldve been a nice factory option as well

    I'm in Australia and I have a 2015 FJ. The tank on my car is 159L ( 42 US Gal). I believe they started fitting the big tanks round about the 2013 models.

      Was just about to comment the same, that's the case for Middle East Market as well.

      @big5astra
      They never did fit anything bigger than 19 gal in the USA. That is interesting about the Australia and Middle East market though. I never knew that.

    #1: yes, but there are 2 hinges
    2: yes
    3: frame rust: the FJ's were built in japan and because of shipping laws toyota wasnt allowed to coat the frames
    4: i love the B pillar!!! Its what makes the fj an fj❤
    5: suicide doors dont bother me. But a usable window would have been nice. The back seat is like sitting in an airplane with a window you cant open surrounded by plastic .. but i dont sit back there! 😅😂

    I'm in Texas so rust is not really an issue.
    Blind spots are a definite shortfall. I installed EZView convex side mirrors (OEM on JDM FJs IIRC)*
    & swapped OEM rearview mirror w/ 10" mirror cam, tremendous improvement & inexpensive!
    I also added an aux. 30 gal LRA fuel tank, pricey but worth it for peace of mind IMHO.
    * (Sorry... that was a LOT of abbreviations.🤪🤣)

      I am jealous of rust not being an issue! And I think anyone who owns an FJ would agree that adding a bigger gas tank is worth every penny.
