A man can never put too many screws in a project ! Job well done.
Thanks! And you’re right!
Wow! Such a beautiful custom bedroom set. One of a kind!
You’re too kind!
You did a great job such a beautiful piece of furniture . I was impressed by the way you built this like a tank this is a peice that can truly be passed down from generation to generation. Thank you for sharing.
Hah this is true! It is a tank!
We recently did a move and I was kicking myself for using large heavy lumber, but thank you for the kind words. The wife loves it and that’s very important.
Beautiful.
Thank you!
Friend, this is very good and I'm impressed but please check under your mattress for your own sake, adding the plywood sheets stopped the bottom of the mattress from breathing and hence, is susceptible to damp/mould from inevitable sweat :) mine did for sure, I drilled countless holes benieth because my ex's bed while good and cheap, had slats which kept breaking. I love the aesthetic of yours
It’s a hybrid mattress my friend. There is no other side to breath.
@@SCWD_US I can't imagine how that works but glad you won't have the same problem we did :) sorry if I came across interfering
@@clevelandexplorer2221 not at all. I appreciate you looking out. Our mattress has a gray vinyl bottom that is hard. We can only rotate not flip our mattress.
really good

Love it
Dolly Legaspi thank you!
Great video - very inspirational. I've been wanting to build a king size bed frame for a while now, and have been watching a lot of youtube videos and designing in 3ds Max (3d modeling program). I want to inset the panels for the headboard and footboard like you did, but my table saw won't accept a dado, so I'm either going to make many passes through the tablesaw to get a 3/4" dado, or maybe use a 3/4" straight bit in the router and make a lot of passes that way - what would you recommend for that?
Hey thanks! I think the router would be more efficient than running at several times with your blade. Love to see the final product when you’re done.
Great video! Great techniques. Wish I could build furniture, but my shop is too small. Love the night stands.
Gary Lundgren Crafts Thank you Gary! It was a fun project. Got some nightstands in the works too.
Really nice job!
Thank you! I’m glad you liked it!
Wow!! Great video!

Noice. Thanks for sharing sir.
Thanks for watching! Appreciate the comment.
Fantastic job !! Keep the videos coming !!
You got it man! Appreciate the kind words George!
Where can I find the dimensions? At what length the lumber was cut?
There really isn’t a set width for a bed headboard and footboard. You could have it right at the frame or a little wider than the frame. The length of the wood cut is set to the size of the mattress you’re using. If you look up free king-size bed plans you could see standard dimensions. If you want the actual plans for this bed, I do not have any. Thank you for watching.
Well done! Nice job this is my next and very first project as a carpenter hope it came out ok, i refuse to buy one of those chinese playwood furniture, the quality are too poor and all the furniture stores around my are only have that, nothing made with solid wood .
Thank you! I'm glad you like it! You can do this! This was my very first bed and it came out great! I would like to see yours. Let me know!
That is a beautiful bed. You have a gift. How long that take to build?
Around 1 week. It was my first bed build. Thank you for the kind words.
Looking to build one myself. Zero experience building anything out of wood. Any suggestions?
Valentin Arzola Take your time. Be methodical. Watch a lot of RUclips videos. My design held up pretty good. If you have sketchup, I can send the file to you.
Thank you baby!
You’re welcome my love! ❤️
Dave Ramsey!
Great guy!
@@SCWD_US Thanks for the video. I am building a similar bed frame this weekend.
Awesome! I’d love to see it.
Great job. Definitely not the DIY'er project
Doug Ford thank you! I’ll take that as a compliment I guess lol....
How thick is your Plywood
The one I used under the mattress is 3/4”.
@@SCWD_US my bed is 37 inches above the floor and my wife is 5’4 and x Can’t reach the bed lol I might buy some plywood and make it shorter
Shoot me some pics when your done.
