I agree with you about the design. I do like it, and is more interesting that other boots on the market. But it seems they've really messed up the boots. Sad to see how Diadora has declined. Is a review of the Maximus Elite pro coming? Looking forward to that as it has a one piece upper and is heavily discounted
@@KeeperCharlie mainly it’s those sneaker heads that arrived into the scene in 2023 making collabs with artist, since they have never played soccer in their life they don’t realize that these ( well not these bowling shoes these are awful ) most cleats are essential to soccer. Cleats are not a pair of Jordan’s that we will wear once in a while.
I am so happy with my black Diadora Baggio 2003 (2019ish issue?): they broken-in gracefully, plenty sturdy for AG use and better than Morelia on keeping your feet dry under the rain… Moralias are obviously better overall though
Does the fact that the boots were made in Italy 🇮🇹 justify the price tag? Like, will Italian-made pairs last longer than all the other cheaper yet more popular models and brands made somewhere in southeast Asia? I believe this would be questionable. And even if they do, if they give most consumers a big sense of discomfort, they will fall out of favor. I agree with Josh. Adidas and Mizuno's models are way better in terms of design, performance, and value for money.
These - and the other non-veloce ita version - often go for half the price. I snapped them but sent them back, because the cheaper elite version fit me better with more toeroom, more plush and comfier. Also has the same soleplate. The elites with knit upper also don't dig into my ankles which is another plus. Padded leather all around with a modern soleplate is exactly what i've been looking for. Wonder how Copa Icon 2 compares.. The ankle digging issue i also have with the brasil sala indoor from the same brand, otherwise they are nice.
Josh could you pls tell me your top 3 most PADDED leather shoes. I have been ur fan for so long and i am finally buying a shoe. My budget is 340 euros and i want a paddded feeling an not a sock like feeling. I previously used the tiempo 9s. I have to buy them in 2 days so pls reply. Thanks
I feel like Diadora is just shooting themselves in the foot. I think that "made in Italy" is not the selling point that Diadora thinks it is. Most people dont care where the product is made so long as there is good quality for the price. And you are just not getting that with these boots. Diadora needs to rethink what they are doing. Start by moving production to where it can be done cost effective so that they can sell them at a competitive price. And then modernize the designs more. Diadora has the brand heritage and recognition within football ⚽. But they are just not producing a compelling product that reflects that heritage and would make more people consider Diadora.
Rented a similar-looking pair the other day. Bowled a 172. Not the shoes’ fault.
😂
😂
Hahaha they really do look like the bowling alley shoes 😂

Man I get the inflation, but boot price going up almost every year is scary.
Peiple need to stop paying full retail. As long people keep buying, companies will keep increasing the price

Spooky scary 😱
That’s more tariffs than inflation.

Baggio was my Boy in da 90s
Please review the elite maximus with the knit tongue that looks to be the more sensible football boot
tried them on yesterday and i don’t think i’ve felt a more stiff tongue in my life it felt like it was cutting into my foot
It’s quite bad! I think they look great, but there’s no other way to say, they’re just uncomfortable 🤷♂️
Due to the boots having more leather I’ll give them a pass

Maximus elite non-ita, copa icon, morelia 2.
How’s the min neo 4?
@@snipershark6463 not the most padded + synthetic midfoot.
I have so much love and hope for Diadora and they just let me down time and again! No more excuses, YOU NEED TO DO BETTER! 😫
They look like they were designed for ageing players who have memories of their diadora's from the 90's.
Looks like even Academy tier of Nike Tiempo Legend is a better choice.
Please do Pantafola D'oro Lazzarini x Indomitable and Pantafola D'oro Epoca
Looks like the AIR RONALD MCDONALDS!

If it was 2010 those would be 120$
I didn't rate the last LPX Velocece and these look even worse
Fond memories of Marco van Basten rocking Diadora boots
First
Pricing something the same as MIJ mizunos is a ballsy move for sure
