My great grandpa worked for BVG during WW2. I used to hear stories from my grandmother about how after one of the bombing raids they came back out to find him driving home in an s-bahn missing its whole front, as a bomb had killed a truck driver and sent the truck careening into the S-bahn. He was alright.
I miss the old Berliner Straßenbahn. I miss the old Berliner U-Bahn Berlin has changed beyond recognition and..... the only icon standing from the past is the TV tower Fernsehturm Berlin.
I see they use bar signals for trams in Germany like we do here in the US for. That was the one thing that was strange to me on my visit to the Netherlands. The signals seemed difficult to see since they were just two small lights rather than a single illuminated bar.

When was this filmed? I was there in August 2020 and I hardly saw a tram covered in advertising wrap, they were nearly all just plain yellow (with muffelmasken signs)
Eigentlich sehr hübsch gemacht, aber leider wackelt die Kamera extrem stark, auch während des Stillstehens - bitte ein Stativ nehmen oder anlehnen, das würde es sehr stark verbessern!

The bar signals seem common across Europe. We have them in the UK too

Does anyone know what’s the difference between the M-lines and the lines without the M ?
The M-lines are running 24/7 and minimum every 10 minutes. At nights the M-lines are running every 30 minutes.
