Hello, thank you for reacting more to Mylène Farmer, she has been an icon in France for about 37 years. She has a lot of interesting and different songs, soulful songs, rock, pop, songs that move ... And she is the QUEEN of the intro. I advise you :
    - "ouverture + peut-être toi" live 2006, this intro sound Amazing 😍 (you will be amazed!)
It's a shame you haven't seen the end of the video ...
It is true that the 2009 version of "Désanchanté" is better 😉
Apart from her first 10 musics, she wrote all the lyrics of her songs (11 albums) Please more Mylène 🥺🤩 thank you

She's easily the equivalent of Madonna when you check the length of her career and her performance. Her 80s music videos were groundbreaking at the time and were compared to MJ's and she is also the undisputed queen for intros and outros. Simply the greatest European pop star ...

Thanks for your great reaction to Mylène. She is a kind of godess in France for all her fans. I listen her for 35 years and still love her songs. I was at this concert in 2006, so good! You must listen the intro+Peut-être toi, it was amazing! The final was too "avant que l'ombre" .

She's an absolute icon in France. A little bit like Madonna in the States. She's an LGBTQ+ icon also. And all her songs are masterpieces. I highly recommend que mon coeur lâche, XXL, Innamoramento, Libertine, Stolen Cars or QI. These are only a few of my favorite songs by Mylène.

Mylene is 59, soon 60 and guess what? She announced a stadium tour for 2023!! Some already want to say it’s the last, but there’s always hope for more. For now we should be happy about what’s coming (and not thing about negative sides), shouldn’t we? Only 7 concerts in all of her 37 years of career, a break can be anywhere from 3-7 years.. she only does concerts when she feels the pull to the stage, no other reason.
Mylène is the queen of all ends and entrances as many have said! She’s always focused more on visuals etc rather than super duper amazing and shocking vocals. She’s a much more visual artist. I think it’s nice, the visuals compensate for anything else that is lost too!
Maybe for a next reaction, do “Mylenium + l’amour naissant” (1999 entry) or “Coming from the vortex + interstellaries”, “L’horloge” (2019) could also be cool though it’s best to know a bit about the song before reacting to it. L’horloge is a poem by Charles Baudelaire which she adapted to a song in 1988. It was the opening song of her first tour and the closing one of the latest.. also it’s one of my favourite poems! I can understand why she chose it.. death, the unchangeable passing of time - those are topics she often deals with.
I’ve added subtitles to all these songs (and a few more) and uploaded them in google drive, the song is always different when you know the lyrics and her lyrics are (with visuals) her strongest suit. Here’s the link: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1--70N0PCi9RNrmUAaDUR8b-b2K2_D56D

Mylène has quite a few songs like this where the instrumentation is upbeat but the lyrics are melancholic. "C'est une belle journée", literally "It's a beautiful day" is a very catchy upbeat song.... about suicide. ;) And yes, she writes the lyrics herself.

Thanks for your reaction. Mylène has a melancholy temperament but she is full of energy. The lyrics of her songs are often sad but musically very catchy. She has not a powerfull voice but it is crystalline and rises beautifuly in the high notes. She is dicreet, secret and reserved in life but completely extroverted on stage as « Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde ». She knows how to touch people emotionally that’s why she became an icon in France.

Hello, thank you for this reaction. Mylene Farmer is famous in France and some European countries. In this song (that she wrote in 1991), she expressed the fact that our generation suffers and has to do some sacrifices to survive. The only happiness we can have is to find a partner that helps us living! Can you react to another song of her "Intro + Vertige (Dizzy)? link: ruclips.net/video/NZfOFtA7ZTY/видео.html

Yes, other than a few songs in the very beginning of her career, she has written all of her songs, with Desenchantee being her most famous. I heavily suggest checking out the original music video of Desenchantee from 1991; it’s very ambitious and theatrical. I don’t know if it’s on RUclips, though. Performance wise, the 2009 live version of this song and the post-song sing along is one of the strongest performances of her career.

    Hi, friend, 👋☺️
Oh, exploring French music? Mais oui, monsieur! 😀
First, allow me to correct your pronunciation of her name and the song:
    "Mee-lenn" Farmer singing "Dehs-on-chon-teh" 😊
The whole "Live à Paris Bercy" concert is awesome, I got the DVD - unfortunately I've never had the chance to see her in person.
My favorite of hers actually is her live cover version of a French song called "La poupée qui fait non" (in English: "The doll that makes no", meaning shakes its head). For this performance she was supported by Algerian singer Khaled, whose Arabic way of singing gives their duet a special note - I love it!
