Great video sir, i love this fish but ever since the transgenic version has taken over the market you can rarely see these in the pet stores. It look so beautiful with a dark background.
@@abdulsaboorraza6691 thank you. Lots of wild coloured fish have been replaced on the market with man-made coloured fish unfortunately. Worse still the ballon forms!
Thank you Mr Paul for sharing. I learn from your methods. 🙏🏻 1. Can you explain a bit more on when you started doing water changes and how much % was remove each time? 2. I noticed you have no heater. Is the room heated? 3. At what age can you start weaning from live bbs to commercial foods like flakes or nano pellets? Thank you.
@@CrowntailHalfmoon 1/ I usually start syphoning the mulm from the bottom of the tank after about 1 week use some airline tubing. I take out about 0.5 of a ping from 3 to 5 gallon tank replacing this with aged water of the same temperature. The amount increases as the fry grow until the water parameters are the same as the in my stock tanks. 2/ my fish room is space heated and kept around 28C - top tier tanks are usually 2 or 3 degrees warmer than tanks on the lower tier. 3/ this depends on the type of fry and how quickly they grow. As a general rule I tend to introduce prepared foods when the fry are large enough to eat it. The food is introduced gradually until the fry eat it almost as eagerly as the BBS.
@@PaulsFishroom Thank you Sir. Appreciate information. I forgot to ask how do you prepare the water used for breeding? Is it ro or rainwater or mixture of ro / tap water?
@@CrowntailHalfmoon I use pure RO for tetras. I cover the tank to keep bacteria levels down and it also makes newley hatched fry feel more secure and less nervous
learnt so much Paul! thankd for sharing ove the tetra vidoes. Did you condion them before breeding? 2. Wyld them breed over a net drappped over the tank with java moss or over a breeding basket? Thanks Paul!
@@skandaabeyesekere4221 the fish were not separated nor specially fed for this video but I often will do this for 10 days or so. You could try a suspended net a jarva fern or maybe put some glass marbles on the tank base. Good luck.

@@CrowntailHalfmoon I use RO water but rainwater is fine if you live in an ‘unpolluted’ area.

Pure ro or you mix with tap?
