i don't know what bamboo in this video species are but i know in asia is Dendrocalamus Giganteus found in North thailand (ไผ่ยักษ์น่าน) Myanmar but some bamboo can drink too and becarefull some species the hair of bamboo can stuck on skin and feel itchy but not too dangerous (the bamboo hiar is on my eye and recovery in 2 week)
It's natural purified drinking water from the sounding passing through the roots of the bamboo. The roots of the bamboo purified the water and store inside f It's compartments. It also served as food of the bamboo in time of dry season.
