Thanks for getting this review up. Tip: turn down the music volume when you are using the tool and nararating. We want to hear the tool at work and your comments
Thanks badger, I just purchased a new software that I can bring the volume down even more. The one I was using only let me bring it to this level. Thanks for the comment!
What I noticed is he only used aluminum rivets. A true test of any riveting tool, hand or power is when fastening (pulling) Stainless Steel rivets. If I am going to spend $200 plus for a cordless riveting tool it has to pull 1/4" SS rivets all day long else I will stay with my $100 pneumatic or $40 longhandle.
I used to build and modify Toyota Landcruisers for the mining industry here in northern Ontario in Canada and this thing saved our hands that's for sure. Saved us so much time also. I'm actually looking to buy one for personal use now.
When making these videos there isn’t a way to actually know how the volume will be unless you use software that has a balancing feature. It’s one of those things you learn over time. Give him a break. 🤷♂️
This is not the only battery rivet gun available on the market. Stanley make good ones as well. Also, if the stems break clean, it is not because of the tool. It’s because you put the right size nose tip and you use a well made rivet. By the way, if you are looking for better and more versatile rivets, check Avdel rivet solutions. “Pop” style rivets don’t last under vibration, constant tensile and shear pressures.
I use this to put on license plates for new uhaul trucks plus a few other odd jobs. Dozens and dozens a day, and before this id use a manual gun. Damn near changed my life.
I have this riveter ran through 60,000 rivets in 3 months no problem and easy to do the maintenance. It gets hot after a few hours but it's awesome other than that.
I almost understood what you said over the music. 😂 4 year old video but I just came across this tool (the need for it) so I really appreciate the review. 💯
I bought one of these and took it back as the small rivet stems get jammed , the internal carrier tube to the rivet collecter needs to be interchangeable to suit the rivet size . I found I was always disassembling it .
I returned this tool to home depot. For the record, I own and love/like all of my Fuel tools (to date I own 15 different tools). This tool just jammed to much. It is generally good with smooth mandrel rivets, but every single rivet with serrated mandrels gets jammed. It took me a half hour to free up the last one.
At the 2:23 mark in the video when you state "alright guys let's do some work here" I see that you have the drill in reverse. I first thought that you had a dull drill bit as it wasn't cutting, then noticed the the chuck was going the wrong way! LOL
I think milwaukee should have added some rubber bumpers at the top so when you lay the tool down it doesn't get all dinged and scratched up. My metal top looks pretty rough after a friend borrowed it and was apparently kicking around on the floor???
God I would have killed to have had one of those back when I worked at a truck shop where we worked on boxes a lot with riveted tin sides, if there wasn't room in a bay or you had to work on one outside for some reason you'd have to drag out a bunch of air hose. I was lucky enough however to have what I believe was the first set of battery powered tin shears so when I needed some tin I didn't have to put the roll that was on the side of the building on a cart and roll it inside or drag a whole bunch of air hose outside to reach to the side of the building which was sick! All the other guys that had power tin shears had pneumatic ones and they were all jealous of my battery powered ones and they all pretty much never asked me to use them cuz they know how protective and OCD I am of my tools. I would let my friend Gary use them but he was the only one cuz i trusted him with my tools he knew the rule of you break it you buy it and I trusted him.
we use them at Stulz for AC construction. They work OK for about a year then suddenly have trouble grabbing and extracting the pin. I keep saying we need to use AC or air tools for pop rivets. No one listens to me. They love their battery operated gear too much.
Just a heads up, you can buy replacement jaws for this tool. They're consumable, especially if you use a lot of 3/16" steel rivets. Put a new set in yours, and it'll probably run about like it did when you bought it.
This is great! At work (sheet metal) we use a gesipa cordless riveter. Curious how this compares with the gesipa given the ridiculous difference in price.
Tool Review Zone did you have had some issues using this tools, usually rivets gun manual or air tool gets damage, so I read some coments about this tools , kinda jammed issues , I wanna buy this tools but a don’t wanna spend my money and be wrong cause it worth 200+ ...dollars , how was the gun with the 2years using? Your experience. Any issues? Thanks
Yeah, I think they could have done better with this now that i think of it. There is a loaded spring in the head that has a lot of tension on it. Makes it a bit tough to load
Hey Bill, I believe they have a contact email on their website where you can submit your idea. That being said, you can always just reach out to their customer service email, or even their page on Instagram,Twitter
They replied to me and basically said thanks for my interest but they were no longer taking ideas .. something like at least a year they stopped listening to the field. Now that one really had me scratching my head
All good, but how much is it? Unless you need to pop rivet every other day, it's probably not worth it, with cost of tools, batteries.etc, especially if you don't have any Milwaukee tools to begin with!
Hellow, thanks for sharing, nice tool. I just wana make a suggestion: use manual focus when making fixed shots, the distance between the camera and the subject does not change so you dont need auto focus, on hand camera shots.. then you can use auto foucus. Sincerely it's awkward seeng the camera trying to focusing nothing. BR and success.
Yeah that's what I used before then people started complaining that they did not like it and wanted me to turn it off. Can't make everyone happy I guess, but thanks for the feedback
I'm gonna keep posting on every Milwaukee review...why no m18 framing nailer? So pissed I had to buy a paslode when I have a dozen or more m18 batteries.

Hi Bill, thanks for the comment. Just to clarity, I'm not doing a video on how to use rivets, just the gun. Really did not need to be perfect, and I really can't see someone doing that on 500 rivets
Turn the music way down or off

TURN DOWN
FOR WHAT!!! 🎶 🎼 🎵 🎶🎶🎵🎶🎼🎵🎶🎶🎼🎶🎵
WRONG!!!!! TURN THAT SHIT UP
Turn your hearing aid down.
Music Is great keep it loud.., don’t play Rap or R&B
I don’t think the music is loud enough.
Yeah, I have my volume all the way up and can barely hear it, next time it should be louder
🤣
Yea, that music was literally loud as hell
What?
Should be AC DC for power tools black in black
Thanks for getting this review up.

From looking at it, the collection at the back is pretty cool!
Great video!! Glad to see it does the big rivets. 👏👏
i can't wait for the 1/4" steel rivet version
@Shawn Evans milwaukee too now, both in the $1000 CDN range. insane.
Next time make the music louder I can hardly hear it
Ok
Yes the music volume is awesome! I can almost hear him talking over it.... almost :(
Hahahahahahahahahshshshahshsaaahaha Idk why of all the music comments this one made me laugh the most

This is probably my favorite tool i own.. if you put in lots of rivets it is a must have
A must have pop-rivit tool if building aluminum boat.
I've done Autobody for 36 years now and going to get one of these... better than 3 hands... thanks for the review
Absolutely bro, and thanks for the comment
even the cordless drill adapter ones work wicked good. for super short money they are sweet. the M12 is nice too.
@@ToolReviewZone w up men how much cost need 1 do L body work better for me

I've got one, it rocks. No problem installing 3/16 steal rivets.
Would prefer one that can pop 1/4"
I have this riveter ran through 60,000 rivets in 3 months no problem and easy to do the maintenance. It gets hot after a few hours but it's awesome other than that.
i just got mine yesterday. very happy with my purchase
I almost understood what you said over the music. 😂 4 year old video but I just came across this tool (the need for it) so I really appreciate the review. 💯
Nice. Honestly never even knew this existed. Will definitely be buying one for sure.
I bought one of these and took it back as the small rivet stems get jammed , the internal carrier tube to the rivet collecter needs to be interchangeable to suit the rivet size . I found I was always disassembling it .
Mine to was getting jammed all day 4 or 5 riverts was stuck in the tube don't no why???
For automotive use you really need possibly to pop 1/4” rivets
That's awesome, now just need a m18 that will do 1/4" mega locks and I'd buy it the day it comes out
@@JohnDoe-ig9ev Hey u laugh, my work $800 would be well spent on it
Wow! Absolutely riveting!

So, don’t use serrated then.
Great music video on rivet guns.

74Willy haha, holly crap your right. That's kida funny
I mean its not like you do tool reviews or anything :o
How do you stop it pushing rivet out the end? It will not drop the sharft in the catcher.
Been looking for one but never in stock. Thanks for showing it.
Also want the miwaukee caulking gun.
This rivet gun is sweet I haven’t used it much but it works excellent didn’t sting my hand once
Use 3/16 stainless rivets thats where this tool shines. Put over 3000 3/16 rivets thru that tool and it saved my hands.
The Milwaukee pop rivet gun needs a built in radio with subwoofer....
I think milwaukee should have added some rubber bumpers at the top so when you lay the tool down it doesn't get all dinged and scratched up. My metal top looks pretty rough after a friend borrowed it and was apparently kicking around on the floor???
I wanna see a million views on this badass review!
Haha yeah buddy
So this doesn’t work with nutserts/rivnuts I’m asuming?
didn't they have air ones 20 years ago?
God I would have killed to have had one of those back when I worked at a truck shop where we worked on boxes a lot with riveted tin sides, if there wasn't room in a bay or you had to work on one outside for some reason you'd have to drag out a bunch of air hose. Thank your for you time and effort in order to produce this review.
I only wish it came in 18 volts.
Don’t need it in 18, that would just make it heavier. Be happy and buy into the M12 line 👍🏼
Aluminum rivets are easy, the specs state that it can do Stainless 3/16th rivets. Any luck with that?
Using 3/16” rivots how thick can the metal be???
Wish I had this today. Got a brand new rivet gun from silverline but broke after 15 rivets. Could used this.
Amazing video EJM Demon sent me over Subbed
Whats up Antonio! Welcome to the Zone bro. EJM is the man!

Great review!
Do they sell a die for setting nuts?
What gun should I get if I’m in auto collision repair. The m18 that does 1/4 or will this m12 be fine
Awesome review, this should work awesome for ceiling grid. I’ve been holding off but now I’m gonna “pull the trigger”! Thanks!
Won't be disappointed bro!
Vincent Carneglia 2
I want to see if it does a stainless rivet.
Me too
Hi was this filmed in real time or film in faster time ??
Hi ray, most was filmed in real time, but the part when I did a bunch in a row was sped up a bit
does it work with riv-nuts?
Nice tool and review..but is it really necessary to play the annoying noise in the background?
where can i buy this tool
Looks like it works great. On aluminum. What about stainless steel rivets?
Do the same test with stainless and I'll buy one tomorrow.
There was a comment left buy someone a while ago stating that worked perfectly with steel rivets
I tested it with 1/8" stainless steel rivets and it performed great.
Wow! I can hardly believe it. Well, I guess I better check my bank balance...
@@DoresoomReviews Also used mine with 1/8" stainless rivets for field work. Works great and so much faster and easier than a hand rivet gun.
Good video, and review. But like others have said, please turn the music off while your talking. Thanks for the review.
This is great! At work (sheet metal) we use a gesipa cordless riveter. Curious how this compares with the gesipa given the ridiculous difference in price.
Hey Noonce, It really is a great tool. I was really surprised with how well it actually worked. Also seems to be very popular
Tool Review Zone I'm definitely going to have to start a m12 collection with this riveter.
If you get it, let me know how you like it bro. I let a guy that uses rivets every day try it, and he loved it too.

Try it using aviation cherry max rivets. That would be the true test.
this tool is awesome for auto body sheet metal repair who gives a rats ass about anything else
Do you got some stickers I can put on my toolbox tool review zone
Sure do buddy. Send me your information at toolreviewzone@gmail.com
Can you use this in aviation
4th of july sale some milwuakee tools are up to 45% off at home depot. like a 6pc power tool set for 300 bucks for the 12 volt right now
Yeah bro, they got some awesome deals going on right now
I think they need to make a rivnut version now
1:56..why soo hard to remove head kits.. your hand is shaking... wrong design??
Yeah, I think they could have done better with this now that i think of it. There is a loaded spring in the head that has a lot of tension on it. Makes it a bit tough to load
I noticed you're using aluminum rivets. Did you try any steel rivets?
Hey Jon, only what the deeps had on stock. I can tell you though they won't be an issue
If I have an idea for tools how do I pitch it to Milwaukee
Hey Bill, I believe they have a contact email on their website where you can submit your idea. That being said, you can always just reach out to their customer service email, or even their page on Instagram,Twitter

Now that one really had me scratching my head
Where do I buy Milwaukee m12 in South Africa
Is it compatible with plastic rivets?
Will this work with aviation grade rivets like "CherryMax" or "Huck"?
Hey Ruttigorn. I haven't tried them, but if it falls in the size range I can't see why they wouldn't.
who was that guy gently talking over the music?
great work you guys did keep it up,how much can I get that machine
Thanks Joseph! I put a link in the description for you to check it out
Sorry man but could you Tell me How much is this machine cuz the link do not worked, pls
Thanks for the heads up on the link Juarez! I reposted it in the description, but its $169 bare tool
Deburring the holes on both sides in not your strength, the deburr will weaken the rivet.
Bernhard Tabert it’s just a demo dude!
From where I can get that thing's ?
All good, but how much is it? Unless you need to pop rivet every other day, it's probably not worth it, with cost of tools, batteries.etc, especially if you don't have any Milwaukee tools to begin with!
I'll agree with that. This is for someone that uses rivets on a daily basis or in a body shop.
I will be using this to build Tesla solar roofs. Will update once it’s got some field use.
They work great!
Good information, but turn down the music in the background! It's distracting and makes it hard to hear you.
How much does it cost

Nice review of the product. Thumbs up... the music tho. Dang. Sometimes I couldn’t even hear your narrating. It really doesn’t add anything.
I had this for a day and returned it just cause it didn't do 1/4 rivets. Which I used daily
