In my opinion (so don't shoot) everyone would LOVE using the low cost harnesses you can get most everywhere now. Here is a video of one young guy catching a 200 class blue fin--no help, no rod to the rail, no passing the rod around. The harness REALLY makes it so much easier to use your body weight, it clips to the reel and you can even let go and rest your arms. ON your knees, rod on the rail, handing off to 2, 3, 4 guys? Just not needed if you wear the harness. Remember too--if you care (and I don't care) with the harness, if you catch a record fish, and you could, the record then counts.

It can but your going to be in for a fight. Gotta go up in drag if you want to boat them quickly.
