Wouldn't miss the vids. I always have enjoyed your style of filming and the absolutely epic places you go. Always enjoy the exploring and congratulations on 50+ days in a row that's some dedication
These small town stops are why I watch this channel. It makes me realize some of the wonderful heritage of this country, and in other cases, how these wonderful places have been economically devastated because of the international mobility of labor.
Hello Adam. Thank you for bringing us along on your trip to Denver, Colorado. Amazing how you find places that have a historic past. Doc' Holiday's place where he passed away, the Saloon named after him; are places we could never visit ourselves. The small towns are interesting to see. Thanks for sharing their history. Safe travels.
As someone who lives in Colorado, it's great to see the state from an outside perspective. I think many people who live here take these views and relics for granted, including myself. Wonderful Video!
I grew up in a small town, which is still pretty much a small town with a declining population. Big event was when a new Dollar General opened last fall. This story can repeat itself all over the country, Most people are in a hurry to get somewhere, and take the interstate. Always wanted to take US1 from Maine to Key West. It would take a while, but the things I would see along the way. Or US 50 from Ocean City, MD to Sacramento, CA. I could see you doing either one of these trips someday, maybe.
Another good one. It is amazing how you find all of these "off the beaten path" places. Meandering around while the cars are flying by on the main roads in their "hustle and bustle" world. Thanks again for sharing all of your adventures with us. I am so glad you are able to do this. Just traveling wherever and enjoying your life. I love all of your videos but these are the ones I love the most. Waiting on more to come. Be safe and Happy Trails.
I got so excited to see a video from Colorado! I am a little sad that you didn't show Palisade it's SO beautiful with the Bookcliffs and Grand Mesa (which is also a beautiful drive) and one of my favorite spots and there's lots of history. Fun facts: my sister in law's family founded Palisade and my husband has relatives who live in the old Tuberculosis hospital that was there. I'm from Arvada, CO- which you drove through to get to Denver- but went to college in Grand Junction and used to stop at that gas station in Glenwood Springs on my trips home (it was a Conoco back then). One of the last conversations I had with my grandpa was about No Name and it makes me think of him every time I drive through the area but I've never been able to stop and look around. The long tunnel you went through is called the Eisenhower Tunnel and it goes through the continental divide. The Georgetown Loop is an awesome train that you can ride on and it has a tall bridge that can be fairly scary to those afraid of heights. It made me so happy seeing someone else admire Silver Plume as it's one of my favorite places here and Georgetown is just as cool and historic. Anyway, I hope Colorado treated you well and hope you want to come back!! Thanks for all of your fun videos and showing us the beautiful country we live in!! You're very much appreciated.
My husband is a rail fan and we have a beautiful poster of the Georgetown Loop in our home!! Thanks for showing us your travels and all these lovely small towns.
Welcome to our neck of the woods ( Denver area)- Colorful Colorado. Have a safe trip! As a native, you have shown us places that even we didn't know were there! Thanks for sharing your experiences!
Hey, neighbor! I'm from Arvada (and native) and loved getting to see what was around No Name, as I've never actually stopped there before. I really enjoyed getting to see a blip of our beautiful state!
Great overview - I live in Carbondale which is 15 minutes from Glenwood. Thanks for showing our part of the world. Sadly too many people are moving here & we’re losing our small-town character & western culture. Relieved you made it through the canyon as tonight there’s a flash flood warning.
Hi Adam, I live in the Glenwood Springs area. If you come through Glenwood again you can take a short hike up to Doc Holidays grave. It’s a short hike up a hill and it has a great view of Glenwood Springs. I always find it interesting to see a place I live through someone else’s eyes. Yeah, the down town area got a new bridge around 8 years ago. It was needed. The old bridge was very narrow and could not handle all the traffic. Have a great rest of your trip.
I love Glenwood springs. We would hike to hanging lake in the 80’s. I need to get back up there. My Mom moved from Denver to Salida so I haven’t been exploring Colorado on my time off like I should.

I appreciate this video. Mostly because I was born and partially raised in Colorado. Its so nice to see my home state... and I can vicariously see it again through the eyes of amazing adventures such as yourself. I am well versed in Arvada, golden, wheatwridge, Stapleton, a good chunk of the mountain range and my personal favorite, the Moffett tunnel.

Thanks for sharing your journey through my home state! I miss it so much! My favourite thing to do when I lived in Colorado was to explore it as much as I could. Beautiful state to grow up in.
Hello Adam. Thank you for your time in all you do to provide excellent content for so many of us to enjoy. I personally have been watching you since your living in the van days. Still look forward to your adventures after all these years. Golden Colorado is worth a visit. Especially to the area frozen in time. My comment is ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,over.
Really enjoy these. I always wonder about these little towns you can see in canyons and on hillsides as you’re driving to anywhere, longing to stop but on a mad rush to nowhere, so I thank you. That stove is an old washer… that Eagle mining town, I looked up lists the owner Name as: Paramount Communications Inc. so probably used as a movie set, smart you heeded the no trespassing sign! 🪧😙
I’m a Colorado native and I’m just blown away by all the comments from people in Colorado. Probably because I’ve been watching since he did abandoned places. The Whoo has blown up
I checked into hotels- once in Bali and once in South Africa- and strangers near the hotel desk identified my accent because they had also lived in Pittsburgh at one time!
Love your travels thru my adopted home state of 47 year's. Colorado...... You really showed some of the most original and authentic parts on the eastern slope. I've been to all of the area's you explored ( several times) Just beautiful 🥰 Thanks for coming! Hope you check out the western slope.... Also very beautiful.... Paonia, Palisades, Fruita, Garfield .... all outside of Grand Junction just beautiful they've now made it wine country but way back in the seventies I picked fruit there peaches, apples, cherries, apricots, pears beautiful orchids if you have time you should check it out 😍
That adding machine at 15:45 was similar to what my parents had in the 1960s. They said they had it since the 1940s. I'm 68 now, and can remember using this myself. Then back in 1973, 4-function electronic calculators came out for about 200 bucks. Now, you can buy any scientific calculator for about 10 bucks.
When I saw the rest area at Glenwood Springs...nostalgia hit hard. Every dog my family has been blessed with has been there. Wee have many family vacation memories of driving through the mountains on the I-70 from Colorado to California and and back. If I am not mistaken, Eagle, Colorado is nearby. Best camping trip ever! Thanks for visiting our beautiful Rockies!
"No Name", a tiny community just outside Glenwood Springs inside the canyon, was named when a map maker "temporarily" inserted "No Name" as a place holder on the map until they learned the real name of the community. But there is no other "real name", so "No Name" stuck and is still used today.
Hi Adam - for those of your viewers that are train enthusiasts and just love mining towns in general, I highly recommend the Georgetown Loop railroad and the town of Georgetown. I’m not sure exactly where you saw that train but Georgetown is way up high, I believe over 9000 feet. I was there with my family once in the way to a family reunion near Fort Collins, which is my moms hometown. It’s really beautiful.
I'm so glad you're in Colorado, my home state. We couldn't make it out there this year so this series helps! Enjoy this beautiful state! ... Denver traffic is insane though.
Long time fan (10+ Years I was in the first ATW meet up at KBF independence hall episode) here just wanted to say I’m loving my home state of Colorado videos lately and would love to see you do some southern Colorado videos I have loads of ideas for you!
Amazing videos, Adamthewoo! I'm relocating to Colorado very soon, and your videos through Colorado, and the west in general, are very insightful for me.
Adam this was great. I am from a big city. I love seeing these small towns. I wish all parents would be encouraged, go out to small towns and show their city kids other parts of America.
Thanks so much for all this Adam. I have hiked in those mountains and actually it can be quite dangerous when it comes to old mine shafts. Some are fenced off with warning signs and many aren't. The trestle coming out of the weeds might lead into a mine that would look inviting to venture into, but no way. There are groups of men who do that, but they are experienced and prepared. Mines can extend for a long ways into the mountain.. I appreciate your interest in the small towns that were bypassed by the interstate. great video.
That flowing River reminded me of our cross country trip through Veil Colorado in May of 1985 when the snow was still on the ground barely melting away. Beautiful scenery all around. That river is one to be careful with. The old trains and mining towns were awesome. Thanks for taking us along. Great memories for me getting to spend the night & pass through Colorado. ❤️🙏🏻
Thanks Adam for what you do. I could have a bad day at work. Come home and watch your videos and it will be all good. No worries. I've been watching since the old days. Looooooooong time subscriber. Thanks again..
It was an old washing machine in that Post Office. Looks like one my grandmother use to have. There's a ringer on the top for squeezing the water out of the clothes before you hung them out on a clothesline to dry.
Adam, I went to silverplum CO a few years ago. The town during the gold rush made the roads out of the non gold dirt from mines. A gemologist came by and noticed all the silver deposits in the roads. Next week or so the roads had pot holes.
Seriously Adam your videos are just what's needed after a stressful week! We've been in Silver Plume to do the Georgetown Loop tour. It's a shame you didn't get to do it. That short train ride was one of my most favorite things to do on our vacation travels and we're from the Midwest and travel a lot. We really love your channel, and have been long time viewers. I hope you'll consider writing a book, you have seen so much of our nation!
another great video from the grand Adam the Woo! I wish you enjoyed trains more.... some really Grand train rides, museums, and places to watch trains located in Colorado. Golden has a museum. I like the Durango to Silverton route. Well worth the expense and time! Great Depot and train barn as well. 3 or 4 train rides available not too far from Denver as well. In Denver, The aquarium and Zoo are both very good.
Loved your video! I have followed you for a long time.I work for the Georgetown Loop Railroad and you had beautiful shots of my depot in Silver Plume. If you come through this way again I would be happy to arrange a train ride and Mine tour for you. Thanks for spot lighting our little Mountain town here in Colorado.
I always think of the dry south west and the problems with the lack of water. The water east of the continental divide ends up in the Mississippi. I hope they never try and divert the water west, which some keep talking about. What a wonderful visit to these small towns, Adam.
The Stanley Hotel is in Estes Park, Colorado where Stephen King's 1980 movie The Shining was filmed. I went there a few years back. They have a nice little tour around the inside of the hotel and even under it where you have to be in the tour to see. Check it out, shall you.....
Great video. I am a native of Colorado and I will tell you there is nothing forgotten about any town here. I live in what I think is remote and forgotten area but every weekend we are bombarded with bicyclists, motorcyclists, looky lou's , car clubs, you name it. You are right about Silver Plume being great to use in a movie.

Oooooo I love silver plume !!! There’s a little bar there called bread that’s so gorgeous. I also love the museum of the town. Lots of antiques and I made friends w the woman who was working (who also offered to sell me her house in silver plume lol)
Cool my husband and i took a road trip to Avon and Eagle a couple of years ago. Beautiful scenery!!! Also side note that Rio Grande Caboose is a orginal as you can get the caboose on a train was used for train crew to rest on long trips 2 engineers a switchman plus those seats ontop were for the firemen to watch for burning embers from oldtime locomotives back when you had a lumber tinder behind the locomotive and all rail cars were made of wood. Trains serviced cabooses out by the mid eighties.

:44 sometimes those are the best trips with no plans just go with the flow. Enjoy the trip to Colorado
I'm from Arvada (and still live here lol).
which part of you wasn't raised in Colorado? lol.
Woo!!! Your so close to Ft.Collins Colorado. Come have a piping hot beverage and explore the home town of Harper Goff who helped designed mainstreet Disneyland.
Hi Adam it was my Birthday Thursday, you make my day more special with your adventures, love you
Hey Adam love the small towns you go to you really should come too Brownsville Oregon its amazing, stand by me was filmed there in the 80s, but the town is stuck in time, its really cool!
I do need to get there one day
You know.. you , are just part of my daily life.......your good for the soul....god bless dude....
OMG you are in Colorado!!! For sure it will be my favorite episodes…I’m from Brazil, but I lived in Colorado twice. And it’s my favorite place in the world!!! Can’t wait to visit Denver again ❤️ Thank u for this!
Cheers 🍻 from Denver, Colorado. I live right below red rocks
That empty mining town you found in the Loveland Basin in the Colorado mts. Was astounding, ad well as the view. Great powers of observation on the trestles!!!The beginning with the Doc Holiday homage was a very cool find!!!Your videos are fabulous for travelers, especially those interested in seeing special out of the way places, which you thrive at!!!Attaboy, Adam the Woo!!!!!!
"I'll be your huckleberry" my favorite Holiday quote! Awesome!!! Great video...beautiful state!
Thanks Adam, great views I would have never seen without you going through there! This retired man appreciates what you do for us who can't get to these places.
I've been following you for well over 10 years- probably more. And you're finally in my home state! WELCOME!
I’m a Colorado native and I’m just blown away by all the comments from people in Colorado. Probably because I’ve been watching since he did abandoned places. The Whoo has blown up
I absolutely love this video. Watching it is like I’m on vacation with you.
I have been enjoying some old Woo videos lately, the bicycle crash, and the video reviewing the video of the crash were quite entertaining!😂
Lol I think I’ve watched them 20 times just epic, never gets old. The beaver poop is hilarious too
@@keithhavens6566 I'm gonna have to watch the beaver poop one...
Can’t wait for tomorrow 🫶🏻 been years since I traveled to Colorado miss it
When I saw the rest area at Glenwood Springs...nostalgia hit hard.
Adam on that roundabout... "look kids, Big Ben!" 🤣🌺🌸
Cheers 🍻 Colorado native. Not many of us left
Native here and yes Denver traffic is insane!
Very enjoyable video today Adam. Colorado is such a beautiful state. 👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
Long time fan (10+ Years I was in the first ATW meet up at KBF independence hall episode) here just wanted to say I’m loving my home state of Colorado videos lately and would love to see you do some southern Colorado videos I have loads of ideas for you!
Omg this looks amazing. I lived in Colorado but in the eastern part and never got the chance to go into the mountains. Thanks for sharing Adam! ❤️💜💙✌️
Amazing videos, Adamthewoo! I'm relocating to Colorado very soon, and your videos through Colorado, and the west in general, are very insightful for me.
Being a Michigander I love seeing the Mountain states videos. I have vacationed in the mountains several times. Nice vids, keep it up.
Welcome to Colorado! I am NJ transplant, but have lived in Colorado for over 40 years. Love the mountains. Enjoy your visit.
Rocky Mountain high! I will forever miss John Denver !
Adam this was great. I am from a big city. I love seeing these small towns. I wish all parents would be encouraged, go out to small towns and show their city kids other parts of America.
What a beautiful place 🤗
Thanks so much for all this Adam. I have hiked in those mountains and actually it can be quite dangerous when it comes to old mine shafts. Some are fenced off with warning signs and many aren't. The trestle coming out of the weeds might lead into a mine that would look inviting to venture into, but no way. There are groups of men who do that, but they are experienced and prepared. Mines can extend for a long ways into the mountain.. I appreciate your interest in the small towns that were bypassed by the interstate. great video.
Love when you find these small towns. We really do have such a beautiful country! What's the temperature like? Just absolutely BEAUTIFUL 😍
Thank you Adam. These videos are absolutely awesome. The Colorado scenery and interesting places are great. 👍
Love the video. Nice job Adam!
You hit the nail on the head with suggesting that the little town you were in should be a movie set. (same thing I was thinking)
Awesome video! Looking for more from Colorado!
Your in my neck of the woods I'm about an hour from Denver, Thanks Adam for what you do.
Thank you ‘Mister Rogers’ , wherever you are !!!🍀
My favorite two places to visit in Colorado are the Stanley motel in Estes park and bishop’s castle. They are super neat to visit
Bishops Castle is spectacular!
Adam love seeing America through your videos l live in Australia keep up the good work
Colorado is so beautiful thanks for sharing
Adam, really enjoyed your totally awesome vlog! What awesome and cool relics of the past! Thank you for taking me along with you! Love Colorado!
Awesome video full of classic cars also that red international scout suv with horns on the hood was very cool!!
It is the spring run off which makes the rivers and streams run fast and high when the snow melts. I love Colorado it is so beautiful Thanks Adam
I always think of the dry south west and the problems with the lack of water. The water east of the continental divide ends up in the Mississippi. I hope they never try and divert the water west, which some keep talking about. What a wonderful visit to these small towns, Adam.
HELLO FRIEND!!! I hope you stop by our Colorado IN and OUT that finally came here... see if there as good as the ones on the coast!!!
Welcome to Colorado Adam. So glad you finally came to my state. Enjoy!
The Stanley Hotel is in Estes Park, Colorado where Stephen King's 1980 movie The Shining was filmed. I went there a few years back. They have a nice little tour around the inside of the hotel and even under it where you have to be in the tour to see. Check it out, shall you.....
love to se all your video , alle the older Town, Its fun , Love from Norway 👏👏👍
Great video. I am a native of Colorado and I will tell you there is nothing forgotten about any town here. I live in what I think is remote and forgotten area but every weekend we are bombarded with bicyclists, motorcyclists, looky lou's , car clubs, you name it.
You are right about Silver Plume being great to use in a movie.
Really enjoying your back country, off the beaten path videos. I like to follow along on GoogleMaps and try to locate your different stops. Keep up the great content!
Thanks for sharing this town was amazying soo fascinating! Pagosa Springs is another place to explore not sure how that ties into your plans... Enjoy the hotel and the numerous hot springs...
Hey Adam! Welcome to Denver! I hope I run into while you’re here! 😁
I was thinking the same. Denver 🍺✊ wish he was having a meet and greet
Thanks for the adventure Adam !!!
Adam, your videos and adventures always help me get through life. Thank you for being a friend
Thanks Adam, some of these places are just amazing
Thanks so much, was hoping you would go through Colorado, I was born and raised there, will always . be in my blood even when not there. Maybe cruise through Last Chance? if it's not too late already. Yes it does exist, my Grandfather had a Cattle ranch there before that his Uncle had a Horse ranch long story obviously, SAFE TRAVELS all the way.
You should have ridden a bike down that steep path to the river, sounds like great fun!😁
I was raised in Colorado. Different now. Beautiful state. I’ve been to where u are reporting from. Ty
Looking for Glenwood Springs hot pool. Always a favorite. And in Silver Plume up stream 1 block was a old school museum and a park across the road. Love the railroad stop. Free and fun to watch the train come in
Thanks for video.
That was a good looking International Scout red vehicle!!!!
Adam I hope you understand how awesome this travel series really is my friend. I call you my friend because I’ve been following your channel for 42 years. Haha. It seems that long since you started back when you didn’t even ask my Mom. Safe Travels Amigo
I grew up in Ruidoso NM in the late 70's and early 80's. That small village you found reminded me of NM
