@@thanatoes537Not at all. After being free, he planned everything carefully to not become a keystone again, while also preventing earthquakes during his time as a cat by guiding Suzume to all the gates. At the very last gate, i.e, Tokyo Gate did Daijin fully hand over the keystone role to Souta, so he can take over instead of him. If he never cared about earthquakes and innocent people, he would have turned Souta into a keystone then and there during their first meet. If he didn't cared about people, he wouldn't have looked visibly concerned when Suzume was trying to pull the chair (keystone) out and then choose to sacrifice himself ultimately. Daijin is an anti-herioc, false antagonist and the tritagonist of the story. You could say that Souta never did anything to suffer as a keystone and the same can be said about Daijin. This isn't a good vs bad battle, it's more of a dilemma like who you're gonna redeem vs the other. Daijin just wanted to be free and loved, but he had to give the keystone role to someone else, before he could be free, which is why his animosity towards Souta can be understandable. Daijin first experiences love when Suzume is kind to her and gives him food. She was also the one to free her from his century long role. That's why he wanted to be with her.
Suzume is the one who unsealed the cat, not the cat just slacking off from his duty. She gave Daijin hope, and all Daijin wanted was her care (Suzume literally asked to raise him). The cat didn’t destroy anything; he led the two of them to the gates that had been opened by the worm. All he got was scolded, rejected, and beaten by both the “male and female lead.” In the end, Suzume didn’t even apologize to the cat she mistreated throughout the whole movie just because she’s a simp. It broke me when he said he couldn’t be her cat; she traded a life from the cat longing for affection to a dude she literally just met. Yes, there was misunderstood from Suzume, but the fact is in the end, she's only think about Souta, not even a slightest guilt about what she had done to Daijin. 1/10 character building right there.

I think Daijin turned Souta into a chair so that Souta and Suzume continued to chase Daijin with the aim of leading them to the door, and Daijin played an important role in eliminating the worms which were a disaster, and this will repeat itself in the next 100 years and there will be more people chosen to kill These worms are what cause disasters
I hate Suzume’s character. It’s like we HAVE to like her bc she a main character but she lacks empathy and compassion. She’s only trying to help him stop the worm because she’s the one who unleashed it and wants meaning in her life.
I hate suzume and sota. Throughout the anime, Suzume stubbornly ignored the love of the white kitten, who just wanted her to become his mistress, and be loved. She ignored the fact that he was helping her and only hurt him in every sense of the word. She exchanged this homeless creature for this unknown Sota, with whom she does not know so much. I don't care that Suzume reunited with the sotta, of all this anime, I only feel sorry for the daijin, because of which my tears ran like a river. Honestly, I would sacrifice sota for him.
