I ran Shinko 777’s on my Shadow and they had balance problems. Love the look of whitewalls on a cruiser and will probably try a set of these on my FXBB once I wear out the factory skins.
I don’t know much about the shinkos, but I’ve heard a little bit about them. But what I know is, that these White wall Metzelers look badass, awesome grip, no balance problems and seems like the profile will last a while on them. Factory tires are just horrible for my riding style.
Hey sorry to hear they’re not working out for you. Until the current day, running 5000 mile on them, not single issue and very very little wear on them. I’ve read that either Michelin’s, Pirellis or Dunlop run decently with the shadow.
Ive been running Me 888 Ultras on my Yamaha warrior. They handle really well and stick to the road easily. I ran m7rr on my GSXR. Im a Metzler fanboy and will always be. Both types of tires are fantastic for what they are.
I can 100% agree with you. I experienced the same and would say that they’re the best tires. My non Harley buddy’s they use these tires(minus whitewall) on there performance bikes and use nothing but Metzelers. I’m a Metzeler fanboy as well now!
Funny. But you’re partially incorrect. Yes, tire improved handling but also handlebars. Stock set up is riser+apes, this are one piece handlebars obviously more direct feel and handling. I hope that answers your question.
Just pulled the trigger. Stock sizing with the white walls. Just waiting for the tires to be delivered to the local cyclegear. I'll be putting them on my daily commuter ( 2 hrs minimum daily). How often do you ride and how are they holding up for you?
Hey there, I ride every day for work, joy or any errands. It’s sunny California so it’s possible. These tires are so far the best gripping and lasting tires. And the white wall just look amazing. A good eye catcher. Lots of compliments. Enjoy the tires, let me know how it goes.
Congratulations Matthew! I’m glad you enjoyed the Video. Thx for the support. This app is part of Vance&Hines FP3 which I highly recommend! Please let me know if you have any questions, I’ll help and guide you through the process of customizing your bike.
On the street Bob with the spoke wheels you will have to use the tube, some say it’s possible without it. My tire say tubeless as well. A tube cost not much, but therefore you’ll have your peace of mind.

Yeah I ran 777 on my shadow and the front was always wobbly

I would do a white wall on the front, but I am not big on cleaning them.
I was riding with three dozen flowers yesterday. Almost died. 😝
Anyways. Great video. Keep it coming!
Oh wow, I Hope you Are alright!! Ride safe brother and Thank You 🙏🏽
What's up guys, let me know how you feel about my new Metzeler ME 888 Whitewall Marathon Ultra? Enjoy the Video.
Were your previous bars not securely attached to the bike? lol. You experienced better handling because of the tires, not the bars.

Nice one again!:D
Thank You so much Claudius! I hope you’re doing well..
What size are the rear tires??
What size did u go with on both
Same as OEM tires, just that they are shaped differently on the top. A little wider. You notice it for sure.
I just got these tires. What's the average mileage I should get out of these before replacing them?
So far about 4K miles and both front and rear look almost new. I’m completely amazed by them.
These tires are tube in the front?
Tubes in the front and back…
@@MotoBeardLA what website did u use to buy this tire? JP cycles website says this tire is tubeless for some weird reason.
