Always great to get the recap. Thanks! That said, we know Cal is alive at the end of Hunted which is set 9+ months over where we are currently in game time. And he's on a plane with Nat. So he's around. The Ortiz siblings we don't know. No mention of them in the books although obviously they were alive at least for a while after the outbreak

@@ronflorio2234 Right, with the White House (BOO) being overrun in a last man standing you last as long as you can and just before you die you are whisked away in a cut scene via helicopter watching the White House taken over by the enemy and the Division in search of a new Base and that base would be in Div 3. Difference Being Div 3's base will actually have to be built up and cleaned up by gathering resources, materials and so on, you would actually see the NPC's building up the walls, defenses and such as you gather more stuff, from time to time you have to defend it (red gun) until it's complete and can defend it's self. Once the perimeter defenses are up you would work on the interior kinda like the first game. The castle would remain but you are re-assigned to the new BOO, somewhere down the road in a WONY type add-on you would take the White House back.
Once again, I think it would be really cool for either the lead up to or early into the div 3 that BT or McMannus manages to hack or change ISAC to read our agents as rogue because we're working against McMannus and potentially maybe trying to switch or gain access to ANA to be able to fight the BT again It would just be cool in general for them to play around with the concept of rogue agents in actual gameplay a little more rather than just in the dark zone and random encounters in the world

This is the only RUclipsr I like for the division 2. You can tell he really likes div, not tryna disrespect the other div 2 content creators but they don’t seem like they are as invested as rogue, good videos & almost daily uploads
I hate descent’s gameplay loop (I don’t find it bad, just very boring), so I don’t have any of these logs. I follow some channels that upload the full comms every week so I can catch up, meaning that I already knew what happened throughout this season, but this video is still appreciated. There’s a couple things that came up with these comms (this is a long one so just skip it if you rightfully can’t put up with it): 1- are Natalya/Black Tusk and Calvin McManus/Homeland proactively complicit in the outbreak? I know Cal was warned about Amherst’s threat but decided to focus on a different priority, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he did it on purpose. He may genuinely have thought it was a kook, but as far as we’re aware he doesn’t feel a shred of guilt for letting this whole thing happen (which, I’d argue, if a sane and innocent person accidentally let a catastrophe happen, I’m pretty sure they couldn’t sleep because of the guilt), which signals that he DID know Amherst was going to be a problem but purposefully let him do his thing. The narrative team somewhat hint at this possibility but there’s no solid confirmation 2- what the HELL would a national level hunter protocol look like? Back in S9, when we got a comm that took place at the end of S3/start of S4 between Nat and Cal, after Deceit’s death, we came to learn that finding suitable recruits for the Hunter program, and I’m sure standards for this unit are VERY high, aka they shouldn’t have a lot of operatives, or at least nowhere near as many as Division agents. How could Hunters realistically cover the entire United States and, most importantly, what would need to happen for Stage 3 to go live? I’m so excited for what comes next story wise
Great points there! My super deep theory is that Natalya was involved/tied up with the outbreak occurring. If she was preemptively ordering all of this tech from Ortiz, it could indicate that she knew what was coming. And with Tchernenko being Russian, Black Tusk originating in Russia... the ties are potentially there to manipulate Amherst. Who knows!
I noticed on a few comms, that ISAC could flag an agent as Rogue for breaking into a building. Was it a specific building? Why would that be considered "off target?" The other thing, is they never said what the original purpose for the "Hunter protocol?." It sounded like their mission was to observe/follow said agent. Then what? Eliminate, recruit? Johnson hinted the former (eliminate) but why? Why would the Hunters specifically target Rogues?
As far as ISAC, the theme that's been portrayed is that ISAC lacks significant contextual thinking/processing compared to ANNA. So he sees things more in black and white, when usually there's a lot of grey. So, since breaking and entering is "illegal," he'd flag an Agent for it. According to what we learned this Season, the Hunters are all Division Agents themselves. They get activated and sent out on missions to eliminate Rogue Agents who are truly off-mission.
The Cleaner grenadiers and or the snipers sometimes say "Firebrand" during a fight. Conley's proposed idea was the converted riot suppression turret the replaced the the water jets with fuel to make large flame turrets like the ones she built that appeared in past seasons, or maybe Ortiz went ahead with her designs in secret since the clause in her contract was anything she created or developed within Ortiz property was literally theirs, would explain how Black Tusk have them in latest manhunt if the Ortiz couple are or were recently at the bunker. The Cleaner tech could possibly have been an idea by her to actually brand her designs as "Firebrand". Firebombing mini drones, exploding jumping remote race cars, napalm artillery turret, large flamethrower turrets, combustion grenades etc. Just a thought.
