When these "cabins" were built they were built and owned by normal people, mechanics, teachers, truck drivers, and they could afford to vacation every summer and support a family on single income. A few generations later these cabins, which were built for tens of thousands (adjusted for inflation) are being sold for millions. I grew up in Maine and miss in when normal people with regular jobs lived, worked, and vacationed there. Now it's a bunch of rich out of staters who can't easily tell you how they make their money that visit a month a year and only want peace and quiet and to be served
I live in Oregon which is one of two states that does not allow private beaches. Bodies of water and beaches belong to everyone. Out of stayers (mostly Californians)are constantly moving here trying to change that law so they can privatize beaches!
To: Mandy -- You did a fantastic job showing this property. You have a wonderful presence and seem to really love what you do! Thank you for sharing! It really is nice; whoever buys this will be blessed beyond measure! 🙂
People, this is a Maine camp and not a permanent residence. It's a weekend home for 3 seasons. Some camps in Maine don't have electricity or running water.
Ponds are ponds because they aren’t as deep as a lake. It doesn’t matter how many acres the body of water covers to be considered a lake. It’s about the depth of the deepest part of the body of water. 🤙🏼 beautiful property!
This home is amazing I would definitely have daybeds out on the porch for napping for sleeping extra people the fireplaces amazing and the whole feel is incredible
Great bass fishing on 3 mile. Being from Augusta, you can drive 10 or 20 minutes in any direction and find a pond or a lake. I moved to South Carolina and im now 6 hours from the ocean and there is one lake close by, it would fit neatly in Great Pond! I miss my home some times!!
This is beautiful. With so many hurricanes and flooding across the country, I am terrified now of living close to any body of water but that is just me and this property is lovely ❤️
My immediate reaction was 'not so close to the water !' - but it's a lake so not a threat at all I would think. A beautiful New England classical home, much like one we had years ago, very comfortable & somehow comforting because you can feel the love it has from other people who have lived there. Amazing big chunk of garden, and your own beach !!!
Beautiful charm, gorgeous location. Not surprised about the water temp, we have a lake near me in MA that roughly the same size and depth, water temp is in the low 80's on the surface, mid 70's after 10 feet down. Power boats are allowed on this lake.
Weird to have a big dining room like that when you can only cook on a mini-oven and have zero counter space. Can't see how you'd be able to even make a casserole big enough to feed a crowd that would fit around that big table.
So pretty! Not sure if its possible, but im watching on the tv and was waiting for a price.. had to go search on my phone for the description.. i usually watch utube on the tv cuz its bigger and u can not read the description or comment.. So can u add the price in ur video talk thanx. Nice video by the way.i enjoyed watching
If you had this same sort of property, home, etc in the greater Seattle area it would be well over a million dollars. Real estate here is insane... absolutely insane prices.
I Love the outside, but when you walked in the back door, the kitchen was disappointing, I really thought that it would have a dream kitchen, but to me, the kitchen is a deal breaker.
Wow, who’s the lucky guy that wants to spend close to $600,000 for an old home with a tiny kitchen; a home where the entire interior needs to be gutted and redone (lots more money); where looking at milky white “Mandy” it must be located in an area where you have less than month and a half to enjoy that beach and work on your suntan. Nice location for the fireplace. Yeh, a “blessed” guy alright. Hell, Siberia is looking like a better deal. Rs
You all realize housing g is waaaaayyyy over priced. Even rentals are over priced. They are resorting to find other ways to try and sell these overly expensive homes. U charge extra for a view of public water lol. I live right in Belfast maine so I kinda know these things. But that's my opinion and that's y the the housing market is going to crash

Nice. But it would be nicer, if the asking price, the actual lot size, taxes, and the utility situation were part of the presentation.

Not livable year round?😢

LOL, Then there is Embden Pond in ME which is 3.5 miles long and max depth of 188 feet....I always called it Embden Lake.
@@bigguydiy2184 And Cold Stream Pond,,,,,,,,,,
Can't forget Bryant pond
According to the "official" sources, there are no established criteria for naming a body of water a pond or a lake.
I looked it up years ago, and found the same info!
little piece of Heaven .
This home is amazing I would definitely have daybeds out on the porch for napping for sleeping extra people the fireplaces amazing and the whole feel is incredible
We called them sleeping porch growing up.

I love the outdoor shower, and the decor is absolutely charming. It's so clean and bright.
What outdoor shower did you see, because I only saw a half bath
@@cindypylant It was in pictures on the listing link.

Gorgeous. They got a dwal at that price.
Maine the capital of major snow fall
What a perfect property and location. Love it.
Such a cute place!
Looks very nice...what's the listing price?
Beautiful!
Nice listing good luck..
Very sweet Mandy! I love it! Aloha
Ugh. I saw this too late. It's already under contract. Also I foolishly forgot to win Powerball yesterday.
Is this a HOA residence, or no. HOAs have idiotic rules, so that plays an important part in property details, please and thank you 😊
This is pretty close to a perfect property. I am very sad it sold but sure the owners are very happy.
Wait..... No shower or bathtub???
Now show it in winter..
I Love the outside, but when you walked in the back door, the kitchen was disappointing, I really thought that it would have a dream kitchen, but to me, the kitchen is a deal breaker.
Great place and what a setting!
From an Australian perspective, houses in rural America are just given away! A waterfront property like that would be worth millions here.
Your paying for the lot. That house is in rough shape.
such a beautiful home and location
It could not be more perfect!
Lucky buyers on this one. What a spot!

Hi Mandy Thank You
Where is the full bathroom
Is there a full bath upstairs!
thank you beautiful property
Gorgeous just the way it is !
What would be the price of this amazing property?
Is this strictly "seasonal"? Or did I miss that mentioned?
I wish the dimensions of each room and land were mentioned, makes it easier to picture.
What is the asking price?
I want to know the same thing
If you find out, please share the price with me.
The link is not valid anymore 🙁
Somebody with money will get a great property, unfortunately it's not me 😭
Right w/ you.
or me...😭
Wow. I'm in love !
This is two years old !!
FYI, the link you provided for this says "no longer available".
The asking price was $475,000. I noticed it is under contract, but check with the broker to be sure.
Half a million?
Crazy price
The average price of a home in ME is $301,700. It’s up 64% over the last 10 years.
Are you taking backup offers?
Yes,an they need millions to live where ya grew up..yeah..awsome
Amazing beauty
Crying out for a real log fire but other than that 10/10
And a second bathroom upstairs!
They never state the price ,why? How much?
Can’t believe this house sold for asking $. The market is troubling indicator, waiting for a “correction 🤞”.
Hi, Mandy! How much?
I wish! 😢
So, there is only a half bath??
zHow old is the original house
No heating system ?
I only see your comment and haven't looked at the listing, but often a house on a lake in Maine (a camp) is built to be a 3 season weekend home.
Ps,once you buy...taxes go through roof...ya..
Was this on Maine Cabin Masters?
♥️
WANT.
so....only one half bath downstairs... no shower/tub? no toilets upstairs? for $475k I'm gonna have to have a bathroom. hahahaha
Wow!
So expensive
PRICE ?
AND CAN IT BE TORNDOWN?
ASSUME NO BASEMAENT?
So, it's just that little bathroom off the kitchen? No shower? No tub?
If you check out the link to the listing, there's a photo of the outdoor shower. That's all you need at camp.
UNDER CONTRACT
Do you know at what price? If so, would you share, please?
No shower or bathtub? Ewwwwwwww
The house sells itself. Please stop talking!
