Clean energy at the heart of Amazonia | EPISODE 3 - Let there be light | Docuseries

In EPISODE 3 of the docuseries “#LetThereBeLight” Ibra heads deeper into the #Amazon basin, where acciona.org has installed advanced domestic #photovoltaic systems which generate substantial power and performance.
With Cintia Díaz, director of the acciona.org #LightAtHome Centers in Peru, we meet neighbors from some of the communities, who tell us how these systems allow children to study more hours and use electronic tablets, and people to watch television, cook, and enjoy more family time at night, improving the general quality of life. As one, Pedro, says: “Light is on our side”.
A light possible thanks to the hard work of acciona.org staff, such as project manager Eder Falcón, who shows us how an advanced domestic photovoltaic system is installed in a home in one of the villages.
Before the day ends, Ibra visits “Monkey Island”, a refuge that aims to reinsert monkeys back into nature and protect #biodiversity in the Amazon.
But once again the day does not end without a surprise…
