No, I don't think Africa has. At all. Unfortunately too many people want to blame the Western boogeyman for everything instead of acknowledging the truth.

There are Africans, on the continent & abroad who have always known & talked about what is going on. But the were either silenced or made to “disappear” & forgotten - Saniara, Danquah, Dulcinea September, André Blouin -So whoever sees Africans as Sleeping beauties is themself quite delusional

Sadly, though not on their own social media platforms- it is absolutely understandable to be on the common ones to reach a larger audience but then oje has to remember you’re just a guest in a foreign home

at the edge of my seat here, ty 🙏 for this critical lecture it rly shd be mandatory uptake, without these insights where do we even begin a sensible approach to any international dealings? even within national responses and decisions, as all interlinks, one affecting another.
tytyty and what a lovely bit about how @2Nacheki was born!

The reason why we’ve been enslaved is because we refused to say, “Homeland or death.”
The reason why we’ve been colonized and are still being neo-colonized is because we refused to say, “Homeland or death.”
The reason why we allowed the West, especially France, to exploit and mistreat over 4 billion Africans worldwide is because we refused to say, “Homeland or death.”
The reason why our resources are stolen while our people suffer in poverty is because we refused to say, “Homeland or death.”
The reason why our leaders bow to foreign powers instead of standing up for us is because we refused to say, “Homeland or death.”
The reason why Africa’s wealth is used to build other nations while we remain dependent is because we refused to say, “Homeland or death.”
The reason why we are divided by borders that were never ours is because we refused to say, “Homeland or death.”
Until we embrace this mindset and stand together, nothing will change. “Homeland or death” is more than just words-it’s a call to action, a declaration of resistance, and the key to reclaiming our future.

Earlier, I mistakenly tweeted," Where is Francis?" I meant to say," Where is Chorma Philips?, the right candidate to represent the pan Africanists when conducting interviews with Western journalists. Be vigilant. The struggle continues!

Haumann became touchy and seemed to feel somehow uneasy when it came to the Western influence especially in Western African. Denmark never talks and teach the historical part it played in early slavery in West Africa. Michael, a stammerer is much informed and somehow gave us all the insight of the situation in Africa starting with the blocks!
Isn’t the West African block ECOWAS that started well with free movement of people, common tariffs across board, inauguration of single currency Eco, that was at the last minute botched by French influence through the Ivorian president Alhassan Ouatarra, a French installed president and former Senegal president Macky, a refugee in France. The consequences of western back war in Libya resulting in unfavourable regime change leading to uncontrollable arms infiltration and dangerous armed groups that poured in already disenfranchised, unstable Sahel region of ECOWAS. The once envisaged ECOWAS block of 50 years has been under the thumb of the entire western powers for almost 2 decades now. Until recently every single head of state had a direct link with the western world to the detriment of the organisation and its citizens! Michael did well comparing East African block as a whole and the positive influence with China and West African block under western influence.(not only France but the entire western world since colonisation).
The saddest part is the “Ukrainian story” which Haumann wanted to sweep under the carpet. As a journalist he was supposed to request for a clip as Michael wanted to give and analyse its authenticity! The mood of the Ukrainian state and the treatment of non-western students especially African University students (paying students) at the beginning of the war and the part played by the surrounding East European border countries was pathetic to say the least!
Michael seems to sing the one-sided tune of the failure of African presidents without pointing out the well groomed, western backed African presidents either installed directly by the west like Alhassan Ouatarra with French involvement in a direct coup and arrest of the elected president Didier Gbagbo, fake accusations at International Court of Justice, his innocence finally and his silence! Michael might have known less about how another western installed president Mohammed Bassoum was “democratically elected” to the annoyance of the entire country Niger. Ghana’s so called British raised, British educated president was elected. How Bola Tinubu,US “educated”, US resident became president of Nigeria. In fact ECOWAS as of now is a western institution/organisation in West Africa. The block is made up of official English/French/Portuguese speaking countries, non sectarian western style governments and close to Western Europe! Northern Africa seems to have no specific block but language and religious association with economic influence from the Middle East. North African isn’t doing bad all economically but it has to suck up to Europe to survive!
Unless Africa has its own information centered satellite, hardware and African controlled software information technological centre, its story will be narrated by the west. Haumann seems to be there to find out how far the African youth is influenced (by whom),motivated and informed. There’s little doubt that he isn’t already aware of all what is narrated here.
