That cereal box visual was fantastic!

I know, right? This was the best explanation of how tension works that I have seen, and that's all down to the visual demonstration she gave.

    THANK YOU!
That Life Cereal box with the red, and yellow shoestrings was the best explanation I’ve EVER seen on how a sewing machine makes stitches! I’ve never seen anything like that in my whole life.
I am a visual learner so that video was perfect for me.
I’m also that person who always asks why so seeing that explanation was just perfect for me.
I’ve always known there was an adjustment for the tension on sewing machines, but I never knew how the tension actually worked until your video.
You give clear instructions and don’t ramble on with unnecessary information. Your videos are perfect!
Your videos are the best out there on RUclips so please keep making videos.
    Thank you Sara!♥️

Over the past 50+ years of sewing I have enjoyed many learning avenues of garment making….but, you girl, are the best facilitator I have ever experienced in my sewing education. Thank you💐 I am so excited to view all your available videos.

Just commandeered a machine my sister had and was not using and started sewing(with a machine) again after 42 years, I was pretty handy with the machine at school(my teacher said I was a natural). You're so good at explaining why things are happening compared to others, fantastic. Thanks

@@prettysimplesara nothing yet, I'm in the process of moving so have been hemming curtains, repairing curtains etc but my goal is to do all my repairs(zips, tears etc) and alterations before moving on to making my own stuff. The machine will make charity shop shopping so much easier as if I like something but it's too big, I can just alter it to fit. Thanks

Thank you. This is exactly what I needed today to fix the tension on my machine. Now I know how it works and why it works. I appreciate this clear explanation.

You’re an amazing teacher. I just love this demonstration and your explanations. I just found you and followed you. I will send your videos to my 12 year old granddaughter who just decided she wants to learn how to sew like me. She can start watching your videos before she gets the actual practice on my machine. ❤❤❤

Thank you so much! I was just about to recommend my beginner course for your granddaughter and then the next bit was ‘ until she practices on my machine’ and I just lit up! So happy when a new sewer has someone to sit beside them and teach them!!! Thank you for teaching a younger person 🙂🙂🙂

You’ve been so helpful with my new journey with sewing! I struggle to sew a sharp curved neck, do you have any advice? Would also be amazing to do a video on the different kinds of needles for which fabrics because that baffles me so much! 😭

    • @prettysimplesara
      @prettysimplesara  2 месяца назад

Can you be more specific about the troubles you are having sewing the curve? What’s happening?
And needles is actually next on the list! It takes a couple weeks though-I’m not a great speaker so I have to film a few times and then edit!

A dull needle affects tension. Sometimes you just need to change the needle.
