@@mooauto2388great. I just bought 2019. Was looking for a video on the transmission fluid. My 2003 explorer 4.0 with 205k miles uses no oil. I hope this engine lasts. I love the upgrade
We love ours xt6 I just can’t figure out why we get that creator fluids smell like if you had a leak, but there is no leak dealer says no leak. We get that smell every so often like on the driver side, especially other than that the vehicle has been a gem.
I don't know what "creator fluid" smells like but I have noticed that my weatherstripping has a funky / weird "kind of vomit" smell to it on my Xt5 - (yes I got up close & personal to sniff it) I'm not sure if this is what's causing it.... I'm thinking it must be because I only notice it when it's hot and I just opened the door - getting in the car - then I get that beautiful leather smell and forget all about it. Once in the car I don't ever smell it even with the A/C . So what I do is condition the w/stripping to help maintain it - then wipe them down with a nice smelling scent on a damp cloth. (something that won't wreck the w/s) I've tried diluted fabric softener and a dry bounce sheet. I don't really notice it so much anymore. When I was looking to buy my XT5 - I read about this weird smell not knowing what owners were talking about, but after I bought one figured this is what it was. P.S I always press and hold the fob unlock to roll down the windows on my way to the car before I get in - I hear that the vapor build up in the car on a hot day can be somewhat toxic. Plus who like getting in a hot car at those temps. 😰
Unknown to me as that the dealer found a coolant leak at my water pump. It had a seeping issue so the leak was not catastrophic but it had a burned coolant smell. I think it might be a known issue.
Thank you for the video. Do you know how I can service my transmission fluid? Are all 6 spark plugs easily accessible or only 3 like the older 3.6? Thank you again
make this video a half hour. I want a deep dive into this vehicle. Been looking at it, and scared to buy it because of the bad reputation of Cadillac these days.
@@noereyes82that’s the issue I just had with mine.. my engine light came on and I noticed my car sounded like a very loud vacuum cleaner that wouldn’t turn off.. I went put it on the machine at autozone, and they said thermostat.. it made my AC stop running.. I took it to a friend mechanic, he already knew what was wrong, he did something to a sensor and it started working again.
No dip stick for the transmission fluid what do they think I'll do pour oil in there 😂😂... I laughed but after i remembered someone poured oil into their wiper fluid at my moms job
Getting 30-33 mpg with Amsoil signature series engine and transmission oil! Starting to use some oil around 6,000 miles in. Solid engine
solid or terrible my 2.0 skyactive i got since 2014 isn't even using a sip of oil these 3.6 are terrible

Check engine light on my XT5 2019, it on and can I just clean oc valve?
First you need to find out why the light is on. Use a code reader to determine problem code, look up code, take appropriate action.
Great job

If you were typing in the word coolant you might have a seeping water pump. I had same issue
Thank you for the video.

Were you able to change your transmission fluid?
Can you review the XT4 2.0 please?
Why do I have transmission fluid on top of the transmission?

Stop being lazy and do your own research.
I hsve a toyota camry . New water pump at 45k miles :/
Issues with the thermostat at 75k miles for most of XT5, but overall it’s been a reliable car for the past 3 years

44k miles since we got it in 2017 and its reliable. No problems yet.

There are reasons these things no longer exist.
That boy really said a V4..🤣
Cylinder deactivation means 2 of the cylinders stop working. Because this engine is a v6, it would become a v4. not an inline 4 dumbass
Direct injection and cylinder deactivation. That’s an automatic nope. Lexus it is
