This was a very good review. One of the best about this particular vehicle. From 1 to 10 (10 being the best) I'd give this a 9. I hate that it does not have a power passenger seat. That is simply ridiculous. If you go on a date you will have to tell your date that in order for them to adjust their seat they will need to reach between their legs and pull. :)
Thanks! I agree, I think the top trim should have a feature pack that mimics the Tucson and Santa Fe. This gets close, but unfortunately misses a couple big features like the power passenger seat. Maybe in future models we'll see that added.
It just didn't sell all that well. We ran into an issue moving that colour here because very few people wanted it. But I've always thought Hyundai could do a little better with their colour selection to be honest.
I just bought a 2023 Santa Cruz in Scottsdale, AZ. Took it to San Diego the first week I had it and got 30 MPG going on average on the highway. I have a heavy foot & LOVE the Santa Cruz. Around town, I'm getting about 20 MPG.
I average about 25 mpg. It’s better than the Jeep I used to drive. Better gas mileage and excellent acceleration. Great storage space under back seats.
Thanks Ed, mine is Preferred Trend in Canada arriving in May, Chilliwack, BC. But how can you are in California when this video is filmed in Chilliwack?😅
@@edsgarage001 OMG! Thanks. I never would have looked on the Pass. Side. I did press the light switch n the drivers but obviously that was a interior light.
My million dollar question is does every 2023 Santa Cruz have the dark chrome grill? I've ordered a 2023 preferred in Canada ( I think SEL AWD in the states). Only thing I'm not sure about my order is whether it's gonna be dark chrome or standard chrome. Personally dig the dark chrome better, but either or looks cool.
You never mentioned the price and i think it is a little poor that they didn't put power to the passenger's seat, I mean C'mon this thing with tax and destination will run over 50,000 dollars. In my view that's not good enough, I personally think this truck is not worth the money you need too spend.
Is this available in America? I just got the 2023 Santa Cruz Limited in Nashville, TN, & had no idea there was an Ultimate. Now I want it & husband says, “ohh, so sad, too bad”. 🥲. Where can we find this one???? We just got it 3 days ago, so I guess my next new car will b the Ultimate. Where is this one sold??
I'm actually in Canada, I'm pretty sure the ultimate is basically the same as the limited in the USA, though I could be wrong. Did you see features in the video that you don't have?
Super belle description
Merci beaucoup

Merci!!
Nice review. Fast with lots of great knowledge. Thank you for not dragging it out. Well done.
Thanks for the comment!
I've ordered this exact setup! I can't wait!!
Thx for the comment!
Unfortunately not available in The Netherlands. It would have been an ideal car for me and my family.
That's unfortunate 🙁

They only made a limited run of this California Sand color which is really frustrating. You can't factory order it from the Hyundai Canada website

@@edsgarage001 agreed appreciate the quick response good sir 👍
I think i’ll order the hampton grey. Saskatchewan resident here 😁
Cool cool,
Thx for the comments!
Front turn signal is strange, a chevron pointing the opposite direction
I kind of giggled at that too. But oh well 🤷
I grew up always wanting an El Camino. The looks and function of this car makes me very happy but the low fuel mileage is unfortunate.
Yeah they certainly sacrificed the economy for the intoxicating power... There'll be a hybrid within a few years though

@@johntaglia9378you are talking about non turbo SC

I'm not what you mean.... The colour of this Santa Cruz is "California sand"
Do they have window visors for the Cruz?
Yes, your dealer should be able to supply them
Great videos Ed. If i order a 2023 in Canada, what are estimated delivery times? Manufacturing is pretty slow these days.
The Santa Cruz isn't too bad for wait times. Expect 4 to 6 months.
Thx for the comment!
Ugh i don’t think we get this trim in the US 😅 looks great!
You do, but it's called the limited
I have the 2023 Limited and its exactly this trim,
Hi Ed, is this a night edition with California color?
In Canada, it's just called the Ultimate, yes in California Sand.
Where is the interior light? When I open my door there’s no illumination. My sales guy was no help either.
There's a button to the right of the sunroof control... Just make sure it's pushed in.. then your lights will come on when the door is open

Hi Ed I just have a question about the 2023 kona preferred trim will it have the Digital gauge
The Kona preferred gas model, no.
But the preferred EV, yes.
Ok thanks
the back seat could use another 16 inches. Hopefully they'll retool the dies someday.
I'd say 6 inches.... But 16??? That's a bit much for a tiny trucklet

I think they've all got it.. I'm at the window looking at a preferred trim in black, and it's got the dark grill.
@@edsgarage001 awesome. I was hoping that was the case 👍🏾
is this car for sell?
It was... But it's not anymore.
Everything that comes in is either sold, or sold within a week
I didn't like the cluster gauge RPM/speedo looked and its a tv display.
You can change what it looks like... Strange, everyone I've ever met loves it 🤷
"minor recall" it leaves you stranded on the side of the road.
Not necessarily, and Not if the recall is done before it happens obviously.
My 2023 has no recalls, I checked
Idk y’all, should we ignore the plastic?
Meh... Every vehicle like this in this price bracket has plastic everywhere. Just look at the Ford Maverick
Or are you talking about the protective plastic film?

I don't bother mentioning the price, as it's going to vary from market to market anyway. It's easy to get the price from the manufacturer's website.
