His instructions are absolutely correct for Indian Roads but the fact that he has to use the word "andaaza"(instincts) and "ishaara" shows how dangerous our road traffic rules are. Where every other country has a strict instruction on what to do where, the fact that we have to use instincts on a specific scenario shows how ill prepared Indian roads are.

So that people should not refer to a constant gap like 100mtrs for every speed. The "2 seconds gap" means that you should maintain a certain gap that the car covers in 2 seconds at the current speed of the car. Thus making the gap variable according to the speed of the car. I hope it makes sense.

Suppose your speed is 54 kmph then distance would be 30 meters And if your speed is 108 kmph, the distance between two vehicles would be 60 meters.So as speed increases distance increases but time remains same (2 seconds) That's why Highway code suggests the distance between two vehicles according to time (seconds) and not in meters cause you can't drive your 60 meters behind a vehicle in streets or tight space.

i noticed in your MID that while in 4 and 5th gear, you are not using the clutch pedal. But when you are shifting to 3rd or below then only you are using your clutch.By doing this practice, are you sure that you are not damaging your gear box OR it is an accepted practice?
